Old rivalry on Kildare’s mind
Kildare County will try to gain revenge for last season’s defeat at the hands of Limerick FC when they make the journey west to take on the struggling Shannonsiders at the Pike Rovers Sports Ground this evening (Saturday, 6.30pm).
This was the only game of the weekend not to have been switched to an earlier kick-off time in order to allow fans to take in the television coverage of the Ireland-Holland match at 7pm, and it will be no surprise if an even smaller crowd than usual turns out as a result.
