I actually agree but don't think we will win anything as we have too many kids.

Silly statement for Eoin Hand to come out with. If I had a euro for every time he mentioned the EPL, I reckon I'd have about......12 euro?

You know, if it helped even one barstooler understand the concept of what he was trying to explain then so be it. It could be something they can relate to, i dunno. Its a sad situation we are in but we are the converted so maybe you have to dumb it down for the barstooler.
The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.

Arsenal don't utterly dominate their local rivalry.

Just on MNS this week, Any Sligo fans worried about Cooks interview after their game on Friday? Seems to be cracking up, asking why they should be considered as title contenders as they only finished 3rd last season, Seemed odd to me
    Here on a technicality.

Not cracking up at all. Just saying everyone should be realistic about our supposed title credentials. He said we were never top 3 last year until the very end after a good run of games. Basically he was quite correct in trying to play down any hype in us being title contenders. Made perfect sense to me.

Wouldnt say he's cracking up, more to do with the fact that he thinks the media is geting ahead of themselves. As RnO said we were only in 3rd position once last season and that was after the last game of the season.
Manager: Fergal, have you your boots with ya?
Fergal: Ya, I have them here.
Manager: Ah good stuff, well give them to this man so, he forgot his!

Does Eoin Hand mention the EPL that often?. I hadn't really noticed but Con Murphy sickens me with a reference and comparative to the EPL with every other comment. It really does my head in. In placing a particular strike by Mark Quigley into comparative he went for 'Rooneys goal for Man Utd v Man City in today's derby'. Its nothing different to anything ever we are used to but there ya go.

As for the comparative to Arsenal. I'm not sure. I don't think Arsenal have reformed and started over again but maybe I'm wrong.
