Disclaimer: Before any Bohs fans get all precious about this, I am not claiming anything untoward, just wondering.
I noticed at the Bohs v Derry game that the PFAI were the match sponsors for the game. I also seem to remember that the PFAI had an advertising hoarding at the game(down the Des Kelly side).
Is there a designated approach by the PFAI to sponsoring clubs etc? For example, is there a draw and the PFAI pick out one club and sponsor their game etc that season?
Seems like a reasonable enough question to ask. I just don't know will you find out the answer.
The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.
There is always a PFAI advertising board at some ground in the LOI![]()
Maybe its Bohs. But i get the drift, why sponsor just the one club ?? And say why your sponsoring that club ??
Maybe they're hedging their bets on which club's players will most require their services before the start of next season?![]()

It's actually advertising the Poultry Farmers' Association of Ireland. A logical step from Pat Grace's Famous Fried Chicken.
To be fair MariborKev referred to PFAI sponsoring the game not an adverstising board at Dalymount and to the best of my knowledge was correct in that they did sponsor a game. No specific knowledge as to why but surmise that it was because we asked them ? Bohs have been working hard on the promotional side and may have contacted various bodies seeking match sponsorship.
not as sure about the adverstising hoarding referred to although may have been one off (for that game) as pretty sure there is no permanent hoarding.
