Translation - Rovers fans/players/supporters/tea lady are entitled to celebrate a Rovers goal or point, opposition teams are not
As usual, Rovers fans flatter themselves as being the centre of the universe.
I have no doubt that Ian Foster cares passionately about every game no matter how it might "appear" to you.
Supporters applauded the Dundalk team coming off the pitch for the effort and commitment - at least three of them should not have played due to injury (Hawkins, Kearns and Byrne) and with the other major injuries (Maher, Bolger, Guthrie, Bennett and Osborne) the team and squad are seriously depleted.
Supporters recognising courage and committment and players and management acknowledging this from the crowd is the norm at Oriel Park and most grounds.
EDIT - PS: The obvious arrogance of Rovers supporters is also a strong motivator.

So thats four no's and a yes is it?
Did you actually read what I said or just cant comprehend it? Has to be the latter on re reading your first sentence. As for the rest, I'm sure everyone will agree that Fosters reaction would've been the same, in the same circumstances, against any other team in the league.Hope everyone's fit on Sat week.
False hope is worse than no hope. Ask Sligo.
If he thinks that he is wrong.
To younger Dundalk fans, playing in the top flight is a relatively new thing. However, many Dundalk fans remember when the club expected to beat Shamrock Rovers and win titles. Those fans will not be pleased if Foster's ambition is a plucky draw against Shamrock Rovers or any other team.
However, I don't think he is like this. After our tired and spiritless performance aginst Bray, I think he (and the fans) were relieved that we took a point against the champions with a team including many players carrying injuries.
"Even if the wind stops to blow
Even if the sea ceases to flow
Even if the sun ceases to rise
The name of Sligo Rovers will shine and shine forever like the morning star glittering in the sky."
Jeez lads can you not say anything anymore without some **** getting his knickers in a twist. You didn't and indeed don't even know who he was slagging off with his chant. There were some rare comments about Dubs at the final against shams (yes Dubs all tarred with same brush) ,things not allowed to be printed here. Stuff gets said at football games get over it . If you had your way its Tennis fans that should be emulated by football fans or maybe all chants should get preapproval . Stop ruining the game lads.
Over an hour to reply to a post of mine, you're losing your touch.

I think that's exactly what happened.Originally Posted by hoops1

So lads what did you think of Murray's masterful performance against you on Friday? He won everything, passed the ball out from the back all night and didn't put a foot wrong. His reading of the game and good positional awareness makes up for his lack of pace.
Never really had anything to do, did he? Sullivan and Stevens dealt with most of it due to our lack of wanting to get anywhere near the 6 yard box.
Murray did have one fantastic Garyowen punt up the pitch late on when there was noone near him in the Shams area. Ended up at Clarke's feet and all.
Yes actually he did have plenty to do. You had about 70% of the posession in the second half and tried numerous through balls through the defence, all of which were dealt with except for the one in the 92nd minute with Rovers down to 10. Murray won everything that was thrown at him both in the air and on the ground, as for his garryown in the last minute to relieve the intense pressure on his defence for a few seconds - yes I thought it was fantastic too and exactly the right thing to do at that time. Notce how you didn't highlight every other time he had the ball he sprayed a pass out from the back.
