Yeah I'm really looking forward to the Sligo game. I'm a bit worried about Pat's, though.

I cant remember that finn shot? the one that was a half cross/shot, i dont think that was that clear cut. but twigg should have been looking to get into that position where it ended up going cos he was never going to be able pull the ball back for him.

Even Felix Healey was on for Rovers, I'm sure he said something like "if WE nick a goal" near the end.

Fair play to Rovers, I for one hope ye can get a result next week. Billy Dennehy was super and Ronan Finn worked his socks off. Skstu comments like yours above doesnt help the league going forward and in europe, then again you might want to start supporting Rovers, Sligo and st pats because I dont thin Bohs will be featuring in europe for the next few years

No reason either Pats or Sligo can't cause an upset tomorrow - like Scotland or Portugal, the rest of the league is fairly average once you take out the big two. The lack of an away goal will probaby be the clincher, as hard to see Copenhagen being held scoreless in Dublin, but Rovers can be proud of their performance tonight.

Still in the tie. That's all you can ask for!

Still waiting for this BIG european result/progression that we've been due for a long time. Shams can do it next week imo.

Wouldn't quite say the same about Portugal...Sporting? Braga? Boavista*?

Left the Danish analysis on and they seem to be extremely worried/impressed by Rovers. Pretty much all the analysis was the Rovers chances, then they had Nilsson on and were showing shots of his players getting caught in possession. Lots of mentions of stress and group stages and Dublin. Little interview with Twigg too, where he said they were pleased with the result and were always confident that they could match Copenhagen.

I don't see the problem with a club raising the bar (along with the league's profile) and the rest following suit. How else will greater interest and exposure for the league be generated or the general standard of play improve? To wish defeat on Rovers is to favour wallowing in mediocrity. It's parochial, petty and fails to see the bigger picture which is that it can only be beneficial in the long-term if an Irish club manages to break through that elusive barrier that is group stage qualification. Simply from the perspective of having a bit of national pride, the idea or prospect of having an actual Irish club competing in European competition proper is also something that surely appeals to many here, whether they support Rovers or not.

2 things a long time, but also the co-efficients work on a 5 year basis.so anything gained now would be lost by the 6th year.

Fairly worried in the last 15 minutes as Twigg was getting hold of the ball and flicking the ball on 15 yards inside his own half as Rovers got deeper and deeper. Loved Murray stepping in to have a word with the guy who was fouled..

A deflection, og, penalty (in the Square end), Turner 2 yard tap-in. And if Rovers can beat Sligo 1-0 and regularly in Tallaght, surely FCK or even Barcelona themselves should be no trouble...
    The Model Club

Tell all the Bohs you know
that we've gone and won two-in-a-row
and it's not gonna be three
and it's not gonna be four
it's more likely to be 5-1.

They wwill come back with the norway rosenborg model. But from the outside looking in, and from a bit of a business perspective, the only plausible way to generate greater interest and in turn greater financial gain to the LOI is for 1 team to make the breakthrough ahead of everyone else.....

What I find really funny though, and its an Irish thing in most sense of the word. But irish football, league of ireland supporting people, take everything from england i.e. rivalry, firms etc etc. This is not how my mates from other lower league countries see thigns either. At the end of the day they see the greater benefit to their leagues, and let local rivalries cease on the international stage, granted not completely.
