Well done Shamrock Rovers, Gave up one decent chance near the end but were comfortable enough. You'd like another goal or two maybe but a win and a clean sheet is a good nights work. Rovers should have enough quality on the counter to create a few chances over there with Flora having to go for it. Solid evenings work.

IF shamrock rovers were to be knock out next week, are they totally out of european football .... or do they go down to europa league?

They'd be out of Europe. If they win this tie and lose in the next round of the CL, then they go into the Play-off round of the EL.

They will be totally knocked out like Bohs last year. It's tough out on league champions getting knocked out after one round.

I hope Rovers have learned some lessons from what happened to Bohs last year. Congrat's to them on their victory tonight.

Dont know who was worse, Flora for being so bad or Shams for only scoring one.
Life without Rovers, it makes no sense...it's a heartache...nothing but a fools game. S.R.F.C.

Sounds like the left Flora in with a chance. Doesn't matter if its done the hard way just as long as its done.
The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.

Rovers should have won by one or two more at least. My stream wasn't the best and the ads were annoying, but Flora don't look up to much really. Ronan Finn was running through them at times and they appeared very weak in the tackle. Dennehy had a lot of freedom on the left as well. Rovers were much stronger and should have punished them by more. I'd be confident of Rovers bagging at least an away goal and finishing the job fairly comfortably in Estonia, bar some freakish nightmare.

The ads were annoying alright but it was better than nothing to watch the game. Is it Setanta 1 that will show the 2nd leg?

The draw for the third round is on Friday. Hopefully knowing who they could play in the third round will be an incentive to see out the tie

Obviously if there were to go through, the next round (the big one) is naturally going to very tough. That said, is it just me or, my word, are they a beatable bunch of seeded teams?

yep its not a bad bunch of teams to need to beat, I was expecting much more stern opposition

Bate probably being the best team there given their last few seasons performances?

copenhagen as well, missed them, rangers would be good for a crowd but doubt shams could take either of those 3, the rest thou and they have a shout

Rovers well deserved the win. A win by 2 goals would have been a fairer reflection.
Plenty left in the tie. Get the feeling Flora were happy with the result.

I don't see where Flora are going to create pressure from open play, but of course there's penalties, mistakes, ogs etc.

They were extremely vulnerable to any cross or high ball and had Rovers taken corners instead of short stuff, there's goals to be had. The keeper was dodgy kicking..

    Not over yet..

Tell all the Bohs you know
that we've gone and won two-in-a-row
and it's not gonna be three
and it's not gonna be four
it's more likely to be 5-1.

I would have taken 1-0 before the game but having seen how little adventure they brought to the game it's a disappointing result. It was like playing against a Michael O'Neill team they were so cautious. Could have been so much worse if one of the many defensive lapses had been converted.

Overall, happy with the performance but not the finishing, despite a couple of great saves from the Estonian keeper. Can look to Tallinn with optimism though.

A win is a win, but a tougher test awaits next week. Have a feeling Tallinn were content with the result and were playing within themselves, as many European teams do away. Another goal or two for us tonight, would have put us more at ease. Tie is still all to play for, so now the attention turns to Friday's draw and see what the prize for winning is. As long as we're away first, that'll do me.

Not too sure as to why Rovers played five across the middle against a team only interested in sitting back.

Think you'll need to score over there as can't see the match finishing nil all. Get the vital away goal and you should go though.

They certainly were happy to sit back - within 2 minutes of the restart it was obvoius they were timewasting, hoping to keep the tie alive at 1:0.

Rovers had a few self-made scares, but certainly looked the better team - i really hope their inability to convert so many chances isn't capatalised on by Tallinn next week - hoping for an away score-draw.

Atmosphere in the stand was great BTW & that Hooperman is a bit of craic too - still feels weird going to quality games in comfortable spacious stadia with large attendances, but I'm getting used to it
