How can you say that when they scored one goal over 180+ mins against far inferior opposition in the previous leg.
And i think you will see i said the early goal could have been a blessing for rovers which i think it was
its just a real shame they dint get an away goal.i still think it was a good result and a super performance but they were not the better side as has been pointed out by neutral press outlets.
Correction! You mean Floriana in the last round. I thought you meant Copenhagen! (Apologises - eats humble pie). However, I think Rovers have a chance.
Deffo a great result for the unwashed1-0 away result gives them more than a fighting chance of progressing and last nights (through gritted teeth) excellent performance should dispell any inferiority complex they might have had.
Important not to concede early in Tallaght so may need patience but deffo game on.
Yup, the list of countries that haven't gotten there is pretty exclusive!
Malta, Luxembourg, Andorra, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Iceland, Wales, Northern Ireland, Moldova, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Montenegro, Albania, FYROM, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, San Marino, Monaco, Liechtenstein, the Vatican City, and the Republic of Ireland.
I don't expect Copenhagen to hockey Rovers or anything like that. I do think they are good enough to score in Tallaght though. A 1-0 home win in Europe puts a team in a good position going into the second leg. If Copenhagen do score 1 in Tallaght I don't think Rovers are capable of scoring 3. Not trying to take anything away from Rovers, like I said it was an excellent performance. But if they want to get past Copenhagen then they will need to play even better in Tallaght.
HJK in 1998/99. Did reasonably well too.
Don't know but here's their top striker: http://profile.ak.fbcdn.net/hprofile..._7425532_n.jpg
Father Romeo Sensini: apparently he can climb two flights of stairs unassisted and he needs only one nun to help him get out of a chair...
I assumed it would be automatically Cesare Prandelli. Shocked at who it is though.
That could be the real diplomatic problem for us.
This though.is like something from father Ted...

Surprised there isn't a purely Irish team - they're part of an Anglo-Celtic team, though.
My money's on the 'Brazilian College'
Is either game been show on the Internet this evening?
Any links please
"Now jump up there and stuff that son of a bitch in the basket, chief"
Murray very rarely has scored for Rovers, yet still against Bohs naturally...which is my only major criticism of him at Rovers.
He didn't do much, but he might play more often if Oman is out. He also provided my highlight of going head-to-head with Claudemir after Rice fouled him for what should've been a penalty.![]()
The Model Club
Tell all the Bohs you know
that we've gone and won two-in-a-row
and it's not gonna be three
and it's not gonna be four
it's more likely to be 5-1.
"For all that the technical deficiencies of League of Ireland players are generally exposed against teams of these calibre, it is remarkable how often they ship goals in situations they would encounter week to week on home turf."
I thought that was a tad harsh. Perhaps in LOI games they wouldn't encounter the ball coming back in so quickly and also the fact that the opponents last night were physically bigger and better conditioned than they were, again something they would not experience week in week out. I can see his point when he speaks about any fenlon managed team in Europe.
