I'm not sure. In one way, it would be great for Rovers, a huge attendance, they'd probably fill Lansdowne if they wanted to, so a big cash windfall. And of course a great advert for the league if they did well. On the other hand, it would be horrifically embarrassing to witness 55,000 Irish people watching a football match, and for 45,000 of them to be cheering against the Irish team.

    I'd rather play Shakhter Karaganda
    The Model Club

Tell all the Bohs you know
that we've gone and won two-in-a-row
and it's not gonna be three
and it's not gonna be four
it's more likely to be 5-1.

Yeah, unfortunately this is what tends to happen.

I didnt understand the bit yesterday in the papers that if rovers got through against copenhagen the highest ranked team they could draw would be Rangers. IS that because if you make it to the final round as a domestic winner you don't face higher seeded teams who finished runner(s x1,2,3) up in other stronger domestic leagues?
There is two qualifier paths to the champions league: champions path and non-champions path. The 10 qualifier round 3 winners will compete in the champions path play-offs with the 5 winners going on to the CL group stage.
10 teams will be competing in the non champions path play-offs. They qualified for this stage through their league position and 5 winners from here will also go through to the CL group stage

The Russian one is up - but it's showing shaktar and lyon - I guess they'll show rovers when it's on.
