A few years ago, the same Pats fans were telling us how they had no chance against Hertha Berlin, as Hertha were a "top" team. When the fixture came, Hertha had Andriy Voronin in their side, and were far from invincible. Soon, they were relegated from the Bundesliga. That's how good they were, or rather how good Pats thought they were.Originally Posted by Spudulika
We've come a long way as a country, in European club football in the past 10 years. Our clubs, Rovers included, have taken on a lot of so-called "better" sides and won. May not have broken the Group Stage ceiling yet, but it will come. A bit of ambition, and a refusal to throw in the towel before you start, gives you some chance of making a decent fist of a tie.
