    Paddy Power ripping us off?

I was looking at the odds for the Winner/Top Scorer doubles and I noticed that they are very bad odds.

For example France are 3/1 to win the EC and Henry is 6/1 to get topscorer. If you worked the double out by yourself or using this calculator you get odds of 21/1 but PP give 11/1.

One big difference is the Germany & K Kuranyi double at 66/1 If you work it out yourself you get odds of 475/1.

I'm sure if I went into my local bookies and wrote the following on a slip they'd give me the correct odds (ie. 475/1) for a double::
    Code:
Germany to win EC - 18/1
Kuranyi top scorer EC - 25/1

    		€10 double.
    Are they in the right?

they are in the right as each bet is not not independent of each other.
ie if henry is banging in the goals, chances are france are doing well also.
all other bookies work on the same principle.

personally i fancy czech republics baros at 50-1 to finish top scorer as a good outsider. he has a decent international goal ratio and czech are a form side.

Oh, I see. So if I was to put Portugal to win (7/1) and Larsson to get top scorer (28/1) I'd get odds of 224/1?

    Cheers.

I make it 231/1 but I'd say you would.

    €1 @ 7/1 pays back €8. €8 @ 28/1 pays back €232. Overall €1 pays back €232 = 231/1.
