I posted a few years ago that everything out in the youths is done very poorly and I was slated. Ye all went on about a three year plan to the premier division. Where is it? Wallace also talked about a team made from local players. A player from every parish in wexford. Where are they? Bottom of first division with no wins. The best young talent in wexford namely Paul murphy lee chin and shane dempsey playing for our neighbours waterford plus conor sinnott. Why will they not play for Mick? As I said from the start the best players in the county were never picked and the youths were run wrong from the very start. And miles to go before we sleep. BTW a chimp would do a better job than NOC. Has Mick got what he wanted with a nice job in the dail? Was that always his plan to get a popularity vote by putting the youths in the league of Ireland in order to get a government job?
Sounds like you're being over critical of Wallace there and all he has done for Wexford Youths. Waterford have more financial clout than Wexford, and have a better chance of promotion. Players are always going to wherever they can get the best exposure and the better pay packet.
why put a team that is no better than a junior team in the eircom league then? This as wallace put it was a team for the community that would be represented by a player from every parish in wexford. He now has the team full of lads from other counties and **** all lads from wexford. Now these lads are not coming to wexford to play for the good of their health. they are either getting well paid or they cant get a game elsewhere. Wexford has a lot of good players that dont play for wallace and Im wondering why they are not playing for him?

The players get paid **** all, I've heard lads in Wexford have turned down the chance to play because they don't want to play LOI. It's a big commitment and plenty of lads are happy playing junior soccer and the money the Youths can offer is very little compared to even Waterford United.
They can only pick lads who want to play

Just back up what others have said many players have been approached to play for the wexford youths and cannot give the time required. No longer bottom
Paul Murphy was asked to play for the youths and said no (so do you really want a player who does not want to be there) IMO Shane Dempseny followed the money and is now sitting on the bench most weeks for waterford Lee Chin is IMO the biggest lose to the youths. Connor gave premier division a try did not work out and got money to play for waterford.
Do you really think Mick Wallace thought i know lets get a LOI team so i can go into the dail? Personally reckon he would prefer to focus on building and his first love soccer. Maybe NOC is not the best manager but doing ok and maybe would do better if left alone but not likely to happen
Off the starting line up tonight ok not all for wexford but 9 out of 13 have played underage for the youths then may not all be from wexford but are being developed by the club.
What would you do different or what is your master plan for the youths to get an all wexford team?

Bluewhite, I'd put it down to coincidence. On the overall balance of play, there wasn't much difference between the match in Jackman and our first one away to Cork. In both cases, the home team was well on top and the difference was that Cork managed to score to win one-nil. The determination to hold out for a point in Jackman by the Youths I'd put down to bruised pride - the defeat against Mervue last time out, and its manner, affected the players badly I think and I never saw a Youths team trudge off the pitch like after our last home match. Watching the Youths team generally at matches, I'd say Noel is definitely the one in charge.
The goal we got in injury time in Jackman to get the three points was just one of those things which happen in football - probably won't happen to us again this season. Anyway, as usual, a good trip to Limerick and great to see Gary at least slightly on the mend.
