Dolan was attacked in Shels home ground he's more than to question it even if that means ruffling a few feathers. Fair play to Pat, a lot of people are afraid to speak out against the disgrace that is Shelbourne football club but he isn't and for that he must be applauded.

Yes, I applaud that coming from someone like Dolan, he of all people is able to brand other people a 'disgrace', afterall, he's never assaulted an opposition manager in his own stadium or anything has he? Oh hang on....

Everything about Shelbourne football club is rotten, they are a disgrace to this league. Everyone hates Rovers but there is a lot more wrong with Shels then there could ever be with Rovers.

It's called success. Gaurenteed if we were in Rovers position and they were in ours you wouldn't be saying that. If Cork ever manage to achieve some kind of success, maybe win a few more league cups or something equally heroic, you'd probably get the same responce.

A few dozen "hardcore" supporters, a jailbird and a motley collection around him? Your buddies in Manchester?

I was listening to Ger Gilroy's EL fans forum tonight on newstalk106 and the Shels representative said he didn't condone it, but by his refusal to comment on the incident, more or less implied that because it was Dolan ( he started on about 'certain people' and 'history' that it was expected and understandable.

Fair play to the Rovers fan though who came out complimenting Dolan and called it a disgrace.

At the rick of sounding melodramatic, if the fans are not going to come out and condemn this then where are they going to draw the line, when it's a glass bottle, when it happens in a Euro fixture.

There's a few sane heads on the Shels message board talking sense but they get ignored.

Two City fans were banned from the cross for the recent incident at home to Rovers, it seems to me that there are only a few clubs who take the safety and security side of the matchday experience seriously.

Cahill had one can of Bulmers thrown in his direction, it went nowhere near him. Dolan had numerous missiles thrown at him at half time the other night and then at the end of the game someone walked up and threw a missile directly into his face. You can't even compare the two incidents.
