Yes, I applaud that coming from someone like Dolan, he of all people is able to brand other people a 'disgrace', afterall, he's never assaulted an opposition manager in his own stadium or anything has he? Oh hang on....

Everything about Shelbourne football club is rotten, they are a disgrace to this league. Everyone hates Rovers but there is a lot more wrong with Shels then there could ever be with Rovers.
It's called success. Gaurenteed if we were in Rovers position and they were in ours you wouldn't be saying that. If Cork ever manage to achieve some kind of success, maybe win a few more league cups or something equally heroic, you'd probably get the same responce.

The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.

I was listening to Ger Gilroy's EL fans forum tonight on newstalk106 and the Shels representative said he didn't condone it, but by his refusal to comment on the incident, more or less implied that because it was Dolan ( he started on about 'certain people' and 'history' that it was expected and understandable.

Fair play to the Rovers fan though who came out complimenting Dolan and called it a disgrace.

At the rick of sounding melodramatic, if the fans are not going to come out and condemn this then where are they going to draw the line, when it's a glass bottle, when it happens in a Euro fixture.

There's a few sane heads on the Shels message board talking sense but they get ignored.

Two City fans were banned from the cross for the recent incident at home to Rovers, it seems to me that there are only a few clubs who take the safety and security side of the matchday experience seriously.

Heard that too. He was saying didn't condone but then as you said his comments directly contradicted that.

Shel$ are really getting tiresome now. Sure even in their official "programme" (term used loosely) some guy writting that should let the pass disputes go with Dolan only to have a few digs at him about "that league title" etc...

As opposed to a team famous for bandwagon jumping fans, who's crowds double of half depending on where you are in the league. I find it very ironic and laughable reading that coming from a Cork fan. If you think the Shels fans aren't loyal than you really are pathetic and bitter.

Yeah, it's not like Dolan to have a few sly digs. Open your eyes! even after the a match in Derry, Derry! A match that had **** all to do with Shels Dolan was mouthing off about us.

I never defended it, and while your all getting beautifully morally outraged, how does this compare to having an actual bottle thrown at you during a match? I didn't notice any "What is the league ending up like???" posts than. How strange.

Can't stop managers from mouthing off in the press but IMO official club publications shoulkd have higher standards. When the Pats programme had a dig off Liam Murphy a few years ago they held their hands up 7 admitted it was a mistake & end of issue.

When did this happen. CCFC recently banned 2 fans for incidents off the pitch, most city fans backed this with a minority sticking up for them.

Are you really trying to suggest it's okay for Dolan to have a dig at everyone at our club, "from the chairman down", after a post match interview after a match in Derry, but it's a disgrace of some fella in a programme has a dig back at him? Right....

It happend after Ollie Cahill scored in the match earlier in the year. Oh but a water balloon is far worse isn't it?

Our lowest attendance for a league game in the past three seasons is still nearly double your average attendance and ye're the ones with all the success, not us.

Ollie Cahill provoked the Shed by gesturing in celebration, Dolan did nothing to provoke the crowd on Tuesday.
Cahill had one can of Bulmers thrown in his direction, it went nowhere near him. Dolan had numerous missiles thrown at him at half time the other night and then at the end of the game someone walked up and threw a missile directly into his face. You can't even compare the two incidents.

    Rotten from the chairman down.

That's got nothing to do with what I said though has it, I notice you didn't dispute that.

    ahahaha

You're sitting there and seriously trying to say having one can of bulmers, something that could have knocked him out if your fans didn't have the success rate throwing your team has at winning things, is perfectly alright, but Dolan having numerous water baloons thrown at him is a disgrace? How do you take yourself seriously?

What is the league ending up like ??

As for provoking, I think years of sly digs every time he gets the chance and than assaulting our manager is provokation enough, oh I notice nobody has mentioned that one either, strange.

By the way, what has our chairman done to upset everyone all of a sudden?

Soccer in this City has suffered from a lot of problems over the years with badly run clubs going out of business, competeing with the most successful GAA clubs/county in the country and the involvement of almost everybody in the City in some form of sport. Cork people will support any club, but it takes time to convince them that club is worth sticking with. When they do, all can see the massive support we can get. We have not won anything for a while, so to accuse 6,000 people of "bandwagon jumping" shows you to be an idiot.

Its also rich coming from someone who follows a club that can fit all their fans on one single wagon, band or otherwise.

What is really pathetic and bitter is that a so-called fan is defending and excusing an assault on a manager of a rival club at your ground. Excusing this behaviour shows you to be not a football fan, but a football thug.
You are simply a mimic of your corrupt, criminal lowlife chairman, who brings nothing but shame, opprobrium and disgrace to the once proud name of Shelbourne.

Do you get 6,000 every week? No, suddenly a few thousand disappear when the big matches aren't around. Band wagon jumping support, in other words.

Its also rich coming from someone who follows a club that can fit all their fans on one single wagon, band or otherwise.
Yes but you accused our fans of not caring, for some unknown reason, which is different, and ********.

I never defended it, it was disgraceful and the people behind it should have been ejected, my point is the moral outrage on from the Cork fans, given that Dolan himself 'assaulted a manager of a rival club at your ground' and amazingly there were no 'what have the league become ' posts than...

By the way, what has Finbar Flood done to **** off you Cork fans?

And league champions and top of the league, I think it's fair to say there's still plenty of pride in the name Shelbourne. Of course oppositon fans hate us, you wouldn't hate us if we weren't the best

Nobody hates Shelbourne, people simply despise them. There is a vast difference, but your little coterie are so far up your own h*les, you think its because you won the league.
    So what?
You are a member of a little group who support a club whose ethos and methodology is anathema to most eL fans.
You are so busy wallowing in the mire that you just don't see reality anymore.

Ahh, I see what you did there, you just ignored all the points I was making about Dolan assaulting Fenlon and the can of bulmers being thrown at Cahill and just have a crappy little dig at Shels instead. Is that you Dolan?

People really got alot off their chests there ddin't they !!

We can now all wait and see what is done about this incident !!

If nothing is done then we know it is OK to behave this way at any eL game. I mean it has to be a clear sign from the powers that be that all this carry on is perfectly fine and acceptable.

    Next home game V Shels August = Fri 13th Shelbourne H 7.45pm

I have on many posts condemned the Cahill incident, as did virtually all City fans.
As for "Dolan assaulting Fenlon" ha, ha,ha,ha
You really do swallow the Byrne fantasy, hook, line and sinker, don't you.
And "crappy little dig at Shels"?
when one is referring to sh*t, one must mention sh*t.
