If something doesn't get sorted - between a basic Market's Field, Thomond or a temporary groundshare somewhere, it would be a pretty shocking lack of foresight from the club. Jackman isn't getting top level status.
God I hope ye have some sort of new ground next year because no way will Jackman be given a license and the last thing we need is some crappy team staying in the top flight on technical reasons again it makes the league look a farce.

I am well used to disappointment following Limerick for the last 22 years and have also been sorry at the slow pace of progress at the markets field, but even I would be shocked if POS and the club didn't have it license ready in time.....having said that they better get a move on. The only concern I would have is those in the LEDP might not appreciate the importance or urgency. For me, moving to a proper and developable ground is as important as getting promoted.
Surely someone on here is in the know as to what are the clubs plans for a home venue next season. In less than 8 short months it is looking more and more likely that we'll be playing in the premier league but noone seems to know where......
Pat o Sullivan was saying on the radio a few weeks ago that there looking at a 4G pitch and have give some crowd ( forget there name) two weeks to come back with a plan for the inside. What def is that there will be a artificial pitch installed there is no way they would have a new pitch dug up and relayed in time it takes around 18 months before you can even go on it. But I do agree the club needs to start moving
On the Jackman debate, they would be granted a Premier License with ongoing work at Markets Field.

I'd put down a nice bit on them getting a premier license regardless.Originally Posted by nigel-harps1954

Who is paying for the re developements???
I hope they go for a natural pitch anyway. Don't like the 3G myself
Thomas means 18 months for a new grass pitch.
I'm sure you can get it done quicker than that if you have the funds to. Look at the amount of stadiums that are built and the last thing that goes in is the pitch. They don't wait 18months before playing on it.
Ah, sorry about that, took you up wrong. Duno what the timeframe for that would be.

SEems all systems go.
Pretty much what we already knew though and the planning permission going in in a few weeks was mentioned about a month ago already. I've said it elsewhere if work hasn't started by mid to late October I can't see us moving in there for march. Building work really slows down in bad weather and if we get a bad winter it will be way behind time. Very rarely does building work finish on time for various reasons.
I believe the planning permission should be going in in the next few weeks. As i hoped someone thought the previous plan was a tad lame so there's a new dimention to it. Its all good
