Agreed, people can't go the next 4 months wondering will we or will we not be in the Markets Field.
Actually, this really does need all the attention from this point on. Getting promotion on the field is great, but some reassurance to fans that it won't get snatched away by the licensing procedure would not go amiss.
Reassurance to come from the club I mean, if they would outline what the timetable is for the Markets Field, and what other arrangements are being mooted if it won't be completed before Spring.

Pat was on 95fm this morning. He said all the pre-planning is done, the plans have been agreed on and finalised by limerick FC and the LEDP. It is being lodged in two weeks. Unless someone places an objection to the markets field it should be ready for kickoff of the 2013 season.
Hopefully the keep us updated from here on.
Who says people will be ****ing in their gardens? I live between the Gaelic grounds and Thomond park and people are parked all over the place, with much larger crowds than what limerick get, it's just something we have to deal with. They already have issues up there anyway with limerick senior and the school of music parking wise, not to mention the greyhound track used to have people parking up there before. Nothing stopping them making the area a no park zone either and let people stroll from somewhere else. It's close enough to town and car parks to allow for this.
I don't see why Geraldine's should be involved either. It will be a municipal stadium so everyone should be allowed get the same use of it as anyone else, not just the dines cause they are close by.

I just really can't see it being completed on time. No pitch laid, winter coming on, planning process till to be muddled through. Pat O'Sullivan has extraordinary confidence though.
We all remember some of the LCC members talking nonsense about lodging complaints over the plans a while ago, but it could have been just talk.

Probably the same stuff he(Pat) said on the radio this morning

Judging by what pat says in the Irish times article alot of the preparatory work does not require planning perssion i.e. the laying of the pitch, erection of goalposts, the transformation of whatever rooms are available into temporary dressing rooms and the general tidying up of the grounds.does anyone on here have access to the grounds and if so what is the current condition of the place as it stands.
I sure if you have the pitch, one Stand and dressing rooms etc ready you will be grand, you could be working on the 3 sides of the ground during the season.
Really hope ye will be playing in Markets field net year
Talk in today's local from Pat O Sullivan that Jackman is plan B for next season and they are working with the FAI to insure it would get a license with upgrades.
That kind of talk worries me a bit. It will be great to have a plan b but last thing we want is a handy fall back and excuse for not going into the markets field as soon as we can.
Possible that another entrance could be put in where the abandoned houses are, as someone else suggested on these boards in another thread.
