Saw in a newspaper over the weekend that Richie Partridge has been released by Liverpool. Has anyone else heard any more about this? Personally I think this is fantastic as it forces his hand to leave the Pool and get his professional career started at last.

as far as i know he signed a one year extension.If it was the people you read it on they had a couple wrong they had jay jay okocha as released even though he signed a 3 year deal 2 weks ago

I'm glad to see it that Partrige has stuck it out, with a new manager I think he could finally make the breakthrough. We all know that Houllier was a donkey and Richie is a far superior player to Diouf so he really should be getting near the team.

Darren Potter has signed an extension to his contract which is a good sign as well, maybe a better prospect that Partridge.

Have to agree there. Been very impressed by this lad, particularly against Scotland a couple of months ago when he caught the ball full in the nethers, and still managed to play an excellent through ball before falling in a heap.
