A Peter Goulding Poem
Eamonn Collins.Pic: Sportsfile
Eamonn Collins is a well-liked man,
Respected by each League of Ireland fan.
Things didn't go according to the plan,
Andy left him carrying the can,
Didn't comprehend the Yin and Yan.
Now Eamo's not a member of the clan,
Because he wasn't paid enough respect.
And what about the legend, Liam Coyle,
The finest player to grace the Derry soil?
Each Candystripe supporter must recoil,
To see his hero's blood come to the boil,
After all those years of sweat and toil.
But now they'll simply have to take their oil,
Because he wasn't paid enough respect.
Football, in its current situation,
Cannot afford such needles aggravation.
Showing someone else consideration
Needn't be a full-time occupation.
A little bit of thought assimilation
Averts a lot of bitter condemnation,
It simply is a question of respect.
Picture with poem.

The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.
