sorry i should have simplified it a bit more. now are you ready - the ballyvary defender passed the ball back to the ballyvary goalkeeper who in turn kicked the ball downfield towards the charlestown goal. (still with me?) The ball then preceeded to bounce in the charlestown box over the charlestown keeper and into the net, GOAL ballyvary! i hope that explains everything. if not leave your name and address and i'll draw you a picture and send it to you!

Its beyond me why you feel the need to be sarcastic about it when you explained it so badly in the first attempt... Charlestown missing some players including myself with exams starting etc but from the match report I got we should have won quiet comprehensively. Missed a number of 1 v 1's and conceded a bizzare goal. A strong wind made it difficult to play football also. Other results bar the Mulranny win went our way so its far from over yet. Also our main fella from last season has decided to come out of retirement and is back training so if last season is anything to go by goals from now on in should not be a problem. We hope so at least!!!

No, you can only claim points on an appeal

i presume that if the point for the game was taken off charlestown the game would have been awarded to us.

The Snugboro website is right ... the points are rewarded to Mulranny in Division 1 and rightly so. Also Ballyheane lost 3 points in Division 3 but also lost the game in question so they got no more punishment

Thanks very much Swinford. I was unable to make the game myself but they done great to say the least. Going to Killala trying to get a result with 11 v 11 is hard enough never mind playing three quaters of the game with 10 men an being 3 goals down early on. Hopefully we can carry this form into the league now.
Swinford getting a few good results in Super League, best of luck for remainder of the season.

Another win for Charlestown last night against Westport United C. Some miss by Gavaghan after carrying the ball into a great position to shoot. Game didn't have the same excitement as the "Thrilla in Killala"!!

Ah now, you call yourself 'the wise one' and thats the funniest thing you can come up with?? Poor effort... The only love we share is a mutual one for Paul '2 yellows' Kenny! :-)
As for that miss, the brother is putting it down to them new footballs out, hard to judge. What was the story with the linesman Ye had on Saturday? I Remember him from last season, good player...

No, I did not migrate from the city of Westport. I was in Killala alright and the scenery was beautiful and yes, I do have great Charlestown connections.
