    Terry Conroy in inteensive care

Sad to hear. Hope he fully recovers. Great player for Ireland.

A great moment in Irish sport was Terry running back onto the Wembly pitch with a huge bandage on his head against England 76. Surely the biggest bandage ever seen on a football pitch. Always got stuck in.

I saw him on Sky Sports News last Monday evening discussing Stoke's win in the FA Cup. Shocked that he could be struck down by an aneurysm just a few days later. He still does some work for the FAI helping young Irish players in England.

The RTE report is here http://www.rte.ie/sport/soccer/2011/0321/conroyt.html

Best wishes to Terry. A very good player for Ireland and Stoke.

According to the Irish Times website Terry's condition has improved today and he is no longer in intensive care (or even inteensive care!).
