Is anybody going to this? After the abissmal preformance against Nigeria and the poor attendance I can't see there being more than 4000 at this game. The only thing I'm looking forward to is seeing McGeady get a run.

cant see many going to this at all. The prices of tickets were a real put off. I payed 25 quid for saturdays ticket which is about 40euro. Whereas i payed 40euro to see brazil and czech game !
Was a real rip off pitch was a disgrace players were nackered recipe for disaster all the way.
though i still have payed ntl 10euro for the game on wednesday.
Agreed,
The promoters are staring at a loss, just what they deserve for there efforts(or lack of effort)
The £5 for that excuse of a programe was a big waste of money.
Anyway I'm going to watch the match somewhere in Kilburn and go to a charity do in the Galtymore afterwards
Was about to buy the programme on sat then saw 5 quid and was shocked . how the hell do they expect people to pay 25 quid and then another 5 for a crap programme. Must be the worst organised tournament in history and again the " new professional " fai moneygrabbers get involved .
I don't think you can blame the FAI for this one.
There is no reason why the organisers could not organise a tournament with good crowds and a good pitch. If they had right location, the right pricing and the right marketing there is no reason why it should not be a success.
Though I think they tried to play too many games, still a good chance to have a look at players, and from what we saw on Saturday we have very little in reserve.
I just blame the fai on agreeing to this farce inthe first place. And Fran Rooneys comments of we still got payed shows what they are thinking about. Players safety or well being is deffo not top of there list again. Letting our lads play on one of the worst pitches i have ever seen shows that they are still all about money
Was talking to some of my Jamaican workmate's and they said their not going to it tomorrow, it could even be worse then saturday for a poor crowd, they also said that the promoting of the tournament has been non exsistent from their side also, they also said they were'nt happy also about the high ticket price's. Someone who thought they were going to clean up on this is going to take a big hit in the pocket. As per usual the FAI and the term shamble's are mentioned in the same sentence.
Its crazy to see people be what society wants them to be but not me.
Well, guess who in their excitement at seeing their team in London rushed out and bought four tickets as soon as they went on sale...?![]()

And guess who now has two spares? Anyone want 'em?

Best of luck in getting rid of them but I wouldn't be too optimistic. For those of us (un)fortunate to still be going to the game is there any interest in a meet up before hand, could do with a stiff drink before hand.
BTW Does anyone remember the panic on this board before the tickets went on sale. Oh for the gift of seeing into the future.
Where am I now? I'm over here,
I've got those empty pockets and I can't afford a beer.
The FAI website say this is the probable team:
Republic of Ireland (probable): Kenny; Maybury, Doherty, O’Brien, O’Shea; Rowlands, Douglas, Kinsella, Reid; Lee, Morrison.
You'd get a better team than that from the U-21's TBH.
at least we'll get to have a look at a few of the younger lads for ninety minutesOriginally Posted by eirebhoy

I think its a shame if McGeady doesn't start. No harm in starting him anyway. Seems he was only brought along to stop Scotland getting their hands on him.Originally Posted by eirebhoy
I don't think I'll have time for a meet up Pat (won't be finished work till 6:30)but we might be the only 2 in the stadium so I'll shot across for a half time bevy.
A few of us are meeting at the Rose of Denmark on Woolwich Road at 6.30-ish. Liam88's yer man - he'll be wearing a Cobh top and buying everyone the first round...Originally Posted by Pat O' Banton

Micky Doyle deserves a game ahead of Douglas. Douglas has been average in the premiership this season while Doyle has been playing some great football. The squad is actually smaller than I first thought so I can't argue with the rest.
if he doesn't play, Scotland can still get their hands on him, I think we'll see his debut tomorrow, probably for clinton, who's likely to start against the DutchOriginally Posted by finlma

It is an invitational tournament so the FAI has limited control, on the face of it London location and 2 decent teams plus a wad of cash sounded OK.Originally Posted by only1kilbane
However they should have played the Romania game earlier in the week, if they had done that the Nigeria game wouldn't have been such a farce.
