Fitzgerald out for a further six weeks

Waterford United midfielder Wayne Fitzgerald, who has missed the majority of the season to date, is hoping that surgery will help to repair a persistent knee injury once and for all.
Fitzgerald was suspended for the opening three matches of the campaign and then struggled to overcome a knee injury that restricted his appearances in the Premier Division to just two halves of football in the scoreless draw against Drogheda United and the 1-0 defeat to Bohemians.
