Give Colinf a ring when you get a chance, just to make sure he didn't do anything drastic last night after his rant![]()
False hope is worse than no hope. Ask Sligo.
No,I'm still searching for the posts that say it was the refs fault.
I misunderstood, reading this and other website comments from Sligo fans I didn't realise you were all just making a general point in slaughtering the ref and our fans. I had stupidly assumed you were just being your bitter selves and couldn't accept losing to us. My mistake so![]()

Twigg's fall looked like a dive to me.
Glad to see the Shams boycott of foot.ie going from strength to strength
I still reckon Limerick were lucky to get out of Finn Park with a point.............................
On our indifferent start to the season, The first game against Clifftonville we dominated the game but just couldn't take our chances, Dominated the second game even more but that was to be expected as they were missing a lot of players and were perfectly happy to let us have the ball and just sit back ( they didn't have 1 shot in the whole game), The Galway game we were poor in the first half and despite talk of trying to plya a different style of football this season we hoofed it for the whole first half, Came out in the second half and played some really nice stuff and deserved the win
This is what I was expecting to see against Bray but every player to a man was poor even at 1 and 2-0, Twas the same hoofball we had seen in the first half against Galway
Personally im dreading Friday but living in the hope the team surprises me again and get a result out of the game
Here on a technicality.
Well that was a waste of 10 minutes of life scrolling through that last few pages of rubbish...
You've got no fans.
Although Dundalk deserved to win it certainly was a struggle. While the performance was disappointing compared to the matches against Linfield, 2nd half in Glentoran, and against Rovers for the first half, there is no doubt that Seannie has this Galway team well drilled. I don't see them winning many games (especially away) but on their day will make life very difficult for most teams
some people saying davoran shold have been sent off for the challenge in the last minute...the ball was dead when he fouled kilduff. when kilduff knocked the ball by him, and onto the other shams player, the offside flag went up, so when Davoran fouled him the offside was already given so there was no foul.
twigg dived for the penalty too. quite clear to see.
There are 10 teams in the league, 4 of them are in Dublin. So you have just 8 league games in Dublin from 18 to pick and choose from.Originally Posted by sligoman
The "standard" of game shouldn't come into it. 15,000 Sligo fans came to Lansdowne last year to watch a 0-0 draw with barely a shot on target. Bray games are the same as Galway games or Derry games, they're all 3 points to play for.

I like high energy football. A little bit rock and roll. Many finishes instead of waiting for the perfect one.
It's not about what city the games are in, it's about the distance. Dundalk, Drogs, Bray, Pat's, UCD, Bohs and Shams are all around 2 and 1/2-3 hours drive from Sligo.
Also your point about the Lansdowne game, that was a cup final, all the sunshiners were out for that one no matter where it was the country and obviously the €10 to the new stadium was gonna be an attraction too.
LTFC 1 Athlone 0 at HT. Craig Walsh with a nice free kick, should really be three or four up.
Upwards to the vanguard where the pressure is too high.
'Dublin area' not Dublin city, please try and read the post before you answer it incorrectly. There is not much of a difference for a Dublin based fan going from Tallaght to Bray/Dundalk as opposed to a Sligo based fan going to Tallaght, Bray or Dundalk.
And if you think the standard of game doesn't matter to some fans then you're deluded.
Life without Rovers, it makes no sense...it's a heartache...nothing but a fools game. S.R.F.C.
