The atmosphere in Dublin for Romania must have been awful, although like yourself Beavis, it sounded alright on TV. The thing is that singing in Charlton was sporadic. You tried to get people around you going but it seemed that the team had to turn it on for them to respond. The atmosphere in Amsterdam on Saturday was unbelievable for 4.5K Irish fans, but then the boys went for the jugular straight from the start and it was an all round brilliant performance. It works both ways. We need to get behind the team just as much as the team needs to give us something to shout about.

Is that all? Looked more like 15k. Since 10k went over to Poland for a midweek friendly that figure seems very small.

The atmosphere in Holland was fantastic, we got in 15 minute's before kick off and the Ireland end was rocking even then, this was like turning the clock back to the way it alway's used to be, even the two boy's in front of me who smoked all their carry out from the ganja offy even done their best to get behind the team, even though by the 60 minute mark they were to buba cluted to know who was playing.
Its crazy to see people be what society wants them to be but not me.

Poland had just 10K attendance. Irish fans were less than 1K there.

Which is the way you were later after popping in for a coffee. There should be a 28 day ban for foot.ie posters participating in this sort of thing - as you'll be in Rock On mode for 4 weeks - although an exception should be made for Davros who could do with some of that sh*t.

I don't know where I got that figure from. Actually, one of the organisor's of the Unity cup was on Newstalk 106 and he said he was expecting more at the Nigeria and Jamaica matches since so many travelled to Poland. I'm not sure if he mentioned a figure though.
