Wouldn't be so sure about dad or brother (or Jack) but his Granddad wants Ireland according to this, which would make some sense as he is/was Irish.

well his contract is up in june i tink so obviously he can talk to clubs in Jan. Cant imagine there would be many german clubs who would not want a player like grealish on a free on fairly low wages on a 2/3yr deal. Its worth a punt.
As accomplised as the the germans were they had no player with any ability to beat players one on one which grealish did every time he was on the ball. Why wood a club not want a player like that? He has massive potential for physical development(a bit like how bale developed physically when he got out of his teens), which german clubs seem to develop well in there footballers. Bayern took dale jeennings on a 2 yr contract on a free a few years ago so it would not be unprecedented
Grealish is not free to move on a free transfer for another five years. You can't go on a free until you're 23.

Well the tribunal fee isn't necessarily below market value. You can end up paying more than you would have bid.

That's not accurate. Compensation only applies where you move within the same jurisdiction.
If Grealish is free of contract in the summer he can go on a free to a "foreign" club.
Examples include Pogba to Juve and Zeki Fryers very short excursion to Belgium to allow Spurs avoid paying United any comp!
If I remember correctly Alan Mahon used the same route to get to Sporting Lisbon on a free also

Key words there are "contract talks stall." This is an attempt to get Villa to pay out. I'd hope the people around him know he's onto a good thing with Villa and that Chelsea don't have the best record of bringing through young talent.
It'd be hard to see him remain with Ireland if he was at Chelsea. They are brutally commercial these days and Mourinho has a boner for England anyway, at least while he's trying to court popularity.
And we're off! These rumours will continue to surround him until he finally moves to a big team. Agree with Stutts, the pressure will continue to grow for him to play for England from his club, manager and coaches. I feel a bit sorry for Villa fans, you finally produce a potentially great player and the vultures move in. I know this is reality, but it's why I hate the Premiership.
