He tweeted that he was supporting England during Euro 2012 so I don't see why this is such a big deal.
If he tweeted that, it would have been in this thread, Liamo would have been going ape, heading in Doolin's direction with an axe in his back pocket.
He's mentioned England a few times on twitter: https://twitter.com/search?f=realtim...ish1%20England
very little there that makes me think he's going to play for them
serious case of denial here.depending on what yer denial is I suppose.
Our best centre back. no suggestion indirectly about playing for England. Comical ally
It's buried in this thread somewhere but it went something like 'play for Ireland, support England #opinions.'
I'll have a look for it.
EDIT: I can't find the Tweet (only goes back as far as last year) but I paraphrased at the time as follows:
Jack tweeted recently that he wants Ireland to do well in the under 17 Euro's but that he wants England to win the senior one.

Was this the "offending" tweet?
There was also this one a few months earlier:Originally Posted by Jack Grealish
I can't see any tweet resembling the one you quote, Olé Olé. That's not to say it doesn't exist, but I've searched for all tweets by him containing both "England" and "Ireland".Originally Posted by Jack Grealish

No, I'm certain. I posted about it on 03/04/2012 which predates that tweet. It went something like he hoped Ireland would win the under-17s (for whom he was playing) but wanted England to win at senior.
EDIT: Not sure how you're searching the tweets but the tweet to which I'm refering had '#opinions' at the end of it, if that helps.

Just looking back and this 2012 from the prophetic Charlie has amused me greatly in hindsight:
I see the post you're referring to Olé Olé, but can't find any exact quote of the tweet(s) other than your paraphrasing.
I hadn't known how to search for tweets by particular people containing specific terms on Twitter before, but I just did it the same way Tets did it with "England". I put "from:JackGrealish1 Ireland" in the Twitter search bar, then selected "All" and Twitter produced a list of all Grealish's tweets containing the word "Ireland". I had a look, but can't find anything relevant containing "opinions" either.
Must have seen the light, thank God! Emergency averted, for another week or so...![]()
He's entitled to feel English and indeed declare fully for England in due course should he wish.
Just a boy, leave him to it.
I found it quoted by farfar on YBIG.
Jack must have since deleted it; the URL as existed then no longer links to a specific tweet. You quoted it in the Michael Keane thread, Olé Olé.Originally Posted by Jack Grealish
However, Jack also tweeted this, as you pointed out:

I believe there is no question of who he will play with if the has a choice and a guarantee.
I also don't believe that you can equally support both teams the same and/or use the we term for both.
Di why did he not say "our year" instead of irelands. In the same context about Terry. its completely obvious where he feels he belongs.ive always felt that.
Lads didn't want mention it but he has removed every picture of himself in an Irish shirt from his twitter account. I noticed it last week. Coincidence ?
