Part of the press release below, 2012 starts now

Johns appointment is a continuation of the rebuilding project of Galway United, as he reflects our core values of honesty, integrity and partnership with local clubs and the Galway FA.

This appointment is another significant step as we start to plan for the coming 2012 season. Our main focus during the off-season remains team recruitment, fundraising and preparation for the licensing process.

United's new manager speaking to www.galwayunitedfc.ie, said: "It's a great challenge and I'm really looking forward to it.

I'll have my own team and I can be judged on that. I'll be looking to bring in the best young talent around the City and County."

2012 Galway United Season Tickets on sale now. Adult and concession tickets are available at €99. Pre-Season training will begin in early January.

Galway United would again like to thank all our fans and sponsors for their support in 2011.
