the only Galway fans in the tent were 3 Injured & Suspended players.Shocking crowd for a team with a chance of going top no more than 900.
We are the Galway Boys Stand up and make some noise"
Decent crowd in Drogs last night, maybe 1,300 ? I could see the point Windmill made a few weeks back, a lot of drogs fans do stand behind the seating in the home side section. I would say the away crowd last night was similar to what Rovers took, maybe a little less but a good atmosphere at the match all the same. I cant believe Drogs allow hundreds of away fans exit like like, all walking over their lovely pitch, I`m sure the groundsman would be delighted too see that.
#DundalkFC - First Irish club to win an away game in Europe (1963), only Irish club to win a game / points in Europa League Group Stage (2016).
ET had Sligo - Bohs attendance down as 2250. It looked a lot more than that on the TV. Only been there the once myself so hard to know for sure. Maybe one of the Sligo lads would know better
2250 seems about right to me. Main stand takes 1800 and rest in Jink's Ave and behind goals.
I'd guess less at Tallaght than the Bray game, so 3750ish for me
The Model Club
Tell all the Bohs you know
that we've gone and won two-in-a-row
and it's not gonna be three
and it's not gonna be four
it's more likely to be 5-1.
I'm not a Sligo fan but I was trawling through a few websites and their official website gives it as 2250 in the match report. That may be a match report replicated from elsewhere? Either way a figure quoted on the official website is fair enough as being official in my book. Great noise from the Bohs fans by the way - could have done without the flying adidas samba though!
Dunno why I didn't update this after week 7...

This isn't the first time I've noticed this.
Why are the away fans constantly trying to say there was less people there. I honestly don't get it. As if it's a huge competition having the highest average attendance. Everyone should be working together and congratulating people on decent attendances and sharing ideas on why it's working and why it's not. Instead I see a lot of people being petty and trying to drag down other club's attendances.
LOI is not in competition with other clubs in the main part for attendances. It's the EPL and european football on tv that's giving people their football fix instead.
By the way I'm a GUFC supporter, not a Bray man in case you're questioning my bias.
Criticism is prejudice made plausible
In the last 10 years i can only remember once galway bringing something like that figure to the showgrounds and that was for a cup quarter-final where they brought something like a thousand. For a regular league game its usually something like 50 or maybe pushing 100 the odd occasion. Now im not knocking galway or their suppott just want to point out for the arguments on this thread that if thats all they bring for their 'derby' its highly unlikely that they brought 250 to bray on a friday nite when not going particulary well.
There has only been a few times in past ten years where Galway have brought more then 150 you could count it on one hand. Most times its around 50 to 80. Considering some Galway fans seem to have a hard on for 'hating' Sligo Rovers its a really poor showing. But I think in general Galway have never been big travellers, there has been the odd occasion alright but every club gets that now and again.
Ya you probably did ,I just dont remember it and it backs up my argument as that seems to have happened once in last 10 years. Again im not trying to get into an argument but was just using it as a point where you would expect your biggest away support would probably be against us therby proving the point that there wasnt 250 in Bray the other night.(which also seems to be the general consensus among your fans)
Harps v Salthill - 473
Harps v Longford - 514
Not bad considering we've not even won a game this season.
Extratime.ie also estimates as follows -
Athlone v Harps (midweek) - 100
Athlone v Mervue - 250
Salthill v Cork - 250
And nothing for Derry v Pat's or any of the Monaghan home games. Do they sound about right?
So that'd make it after round 8 -
