I think fans would accept the move of fixtures had it been Ireland and Scotland tonight. But re-scheduling games to accommodate a nothing game between the North and Wales' 'reserve' sides basically is an absolute joke.
Madness indeed. But with the amount of mid week fixtures this year it looks as if some supporters are getting fed up with playing 2-3 games a week. With the league struggling to get people to go to games on weekends what do the clubs and the FAI expect to happen mid week? Getting more people through the gates should be a priority.

Official .Sky Sports said it.

Sky just reporting that it was 529 aswell.

Sky have changed it to 529 here too.
Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?
529 ??? They would be better off using Shelbourne park next door, this has been a right disgrace. The tournament will not survive, unless they change it to home and away, and alternating it every other season.
Shocking decision making our clubs change nights for this.
#DundalkFC - First Irish club to win an away game in Europe (1963), only Irish club to win a game / points in Europa League Group Stage (2016).
Chances are that it will be every 2 years . Did this weeks series of games get played on a thursday last year as well followed by games on monday? Im thinking that the Nations cup was fitted in around the league fixtures rather than the other way round.
Maybe the end of June would be best, with England joining and the best players available just before pre season starts across the water and the cups and play offs finished and players having rested and fans wanting live football ( non airtricity league fans ).

Haha what another colossal cluster **** the FAI have got themselves into, glorious.
Absolutely not. Plenty of weekends this year (only 2 weeks ago for example) with games on Friday and Monday. The only Thursday games last season was in October when ireland played a Euro qualifier on the Friday night
Its 100% true that the LOI games were moved to avoid the clash with the Nations cup games
