Drom is in the middle of nowhere, seriously. You're thinking of the part of Rahoon that's in the City- it extends waaaaay out into the hills.
If Drom were any further out it'd be in feckin Mayo.

very poor crowd at youths game tonight in flancare.. reckon estimate 150 people were at it..shame on fai for switchin games to a thursday night..
Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?
About 350 in Finn Park. Terrible.
1,600 at Dundalk as per www.dundalkfc.com well down at what we would have expected for a Friday night.
#DundalkFC - First Irish club to win an away game in Europe (1963), only Irish club to win a game / points in Europa League Group Stage (2016).
54 (FIFTY FOUR) at Salthill Devon v Limerick in a freezing cold Drom. 8 (EIGHT) Salthill fans, the rest travelled up.

1600 is a good crowd for a Thursday night !! I dont think it would have been bettered had we have played on Friday, bar a(wee) few more from the Maiden city.![]()
I see there was only 1000 in Inchicore last night. Refused to travel myself I know we'd be hurting our own clubs but fans have to take a stance and boycott all these mid week games. It's easy to blame the FAI for these cr@ppy fixtures but clubs need to get a backbone and just say no.
I'd say about 2,000 at Bray v. Rovers but could have had another 500 to 600 if it was on the Friday.
Not the Boycott word. I feel people use the word Boycott as an excuse not to go ( i dont mean you Red Army ) but in general like the NI fans this week. I remember a few years ago a friend of mine saying that he was boycotting his local LOI team because he didnt like the manager and wanted him sacked but i think he just couldnt be arsed going. The manager was sacked but this guy still didnt go to many matches after.
You're right in what you saying cuyahoga about people using the word boycott as a excuse. I wanted to go to the game last night and would have made it up without taking time of work. It's only a two hour trip from Galway but you have to draw the line somewhere.

No you don't. You not going to the game didn't make a difference to any policy maker
All it did was deprive you of watching your team
It's a personal thing Dodge. The way loads of supporters in England have walked away from the game because of high ticket prices and Nazi like security at games only to be replaced by tourist and day trippers their stance makes no real difference. Just me taking this stance will makes no difference in the greater picture if more followed it would because we don't get day trippers here. I'm not going to jump every time the FAI tell me to and I'm happier for taking my stance.
What do you think would happen if a club refused to play mid week fixtures?
That backbone you refer to would be seriously weakened by the deduction of points and a heafty fine with the threat of expulsion from the league for a repeat offence.
Perhaps you refer to clubs jointly taking a stance. Thats even more far fetched! The Participation Agreement invests total control in the FAI
Next season with the 12 team PD, this will only decrease games by 3 for the year, but I do hope the FAI have the sense to stretch the season out to ensure games are played once a week, that should be possible over 40 weeks (Although they will prob have a break for 2 weeks for euro 2012)
This country/league simply cannot sustain situations where fans are being asked to pay into games twice over 3 or 4 days. In our magazine editorial last night, the point was made that fans are picking their games now and clubs are suffering, losing out on valuable cash flow.
