Hi Jim
Hi lads.
I was just wondering will the P.F.A.I. and the Official Star Guides be out this week ?
Hi Jim
The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.
no mention in the star today about it.. I wonder will there be cutbacks on it like the general cutbacks in the FAI?
Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?
The League launch was today in the Aviva. Not that you'd know it though

The one in The Star was mentioned at the launch yesterday, they were prob waiting on the new pics of jerseys etc before it was released.
I’m not pedantic...I’m merely overly concerned with minute details.
Thanks B.T.I.D.The one in The Star was mentioned at the launch yesterday, they were prob waiting on the new pics of jerseys etc before it was released.
I like the Magic Weekend idea, good idea.
That might not be a bad idea ! ala RL style, judging by the crowd at the last final, with similar marketing could be a real winner.
Alternate matches prem, div 1, prem etc.
Though if it was to be considered for 2012 would requre an additional team in Div 1.
Either clubs fore go a home match or magic weekend fixture added to normal fixtures .
Any reason why you dont have a charity shield style match as season opener - League winners v Cup Winners ?

Ack, I thought the Girl Guides had applied to join the league when I saw the title.

Yeah. I hear they're in big bother with the taxman.

The Star guide is out on Friday
"Even if the sun ceases to rise, Even if the sea ceases to flow, Even if the wind stops to blow, The name of Sligo Rovers will shine and shine forever like the morning, glinting star in the sky."

Official Star one in tomorrow's paper
As usual the Star one is a good glossy production but with a few mistakes. I know they probably had the pages done already but 2 articles still have Mick Cooke as our manager and Bobby Browne as Drogs but the preview for Mons has it right that Aidan Lynch is gonna be caretaker. Also they dont have our transfers in which were completed last week. Still a much better effort that the Sun's pull out.
Was it up to the clubs to send in a write up for the Star Magazine?? Suprised to see Limerick having such a small little write up in the corner. The same goes for Harps.
