    Foot.ie! Dykes Resigns

Derry City boss Gavin Dykes has resigned.
Who would Derry supporters like to see taking his place?

The team have not scored for six games!
So do you think the players were not doing it for the manager or they are just a bad lot?

Don't be shy, give us your views.

I'd like to see Jimmy McGeough get the job. And at the moment it looks like he his one of two candidates in with a chance - the other being the Devil.

I don't think the players weren't playing for Dykes - I don't think Dykes has the ability to manage a football team. He can certainly talk the talk, but he fails miserably when he has to walk the walk. It's a pity coz he's a nice, genuine fella. Unfortunately those qualities don't make you a good manager...

I think the current Derry squad should be somewhere in the top half of the league - possibly pushing for Europe.

What we are missing in my opinion is a coach (or two.) The players have the potential to play, if someone could bring it out of them. Ever since Bugsy Cunningham left us, our on the field performances have gradually got worse.

Anyway, we should know who the next manager is within the next few days.

It's been an absolute pleasure and an honour for me to have been priveledged to respond to your post

Seriously though, not many Derry fans visit this forum - the best place to go would be www.derrycityfc.net and visit the forum in there.
