Like Kildare County and Kilkenny City before them, it's disappointing Sporting Fingal have left the League and folded entirely. It's a pity neither club took the route of Cobh Ramblers and look to build a base, building for the future. The A Championship would be all the better for it.

A Championship: 4 years - 8 first teams - 0 financially ruined. First Division '14: 7 first teams.
Opportunity lost for new clubs/regions to join the LoI family.
Yeah, definitely .... its a shame that there wasn't a core group of people willing to do this. Its like Dublin city, just folded and they are no more.
The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.
I assumed seeing as the club was all about the community and blah blah it would be easy to make an a championship side
Shamrock rovers folded within 3 years or so from their creation and look at them now .
Following on from your post on the Kildare County section of the site, do you know of any Fingal fans that have started going to the games of another LOI side?
Is it St. Pat's you're going to?
I havent been to any yet and havent any plans to do so any time soon.
