Just to clarify it lads, Limerick FC weren't given an extension on the deadline because they couldn't meet the deadline like the earlier statement might lead people to believe. The granting of the license has been extended through no fault of Limericks as they have been in a position since Monday to sort it out.

I'd say they do actually. I think we fail to meet the ground requirements but get away with it because of the new stadium project. Drogheda previously had the same with theirs. I'd imagine that as Jackman also misses the standards that there has to be some sort of plan in place to get up to the mark.
Who knows what to make of licensing at this stage though?

As far as I can remember we were issued license to play in Mels due to having concrete plans to move to Lissywollen

But this is kind of my point - I don't think Limerick saying 'we're trying to buy it' will have much influence.
Now, 'concrete plans'.......in that case, we'd have to have already bought the Market's Field??!!
Woohoo!!

I hope the potential move to the Market's Field develops and gets approved soon. It'll be a great move for the club.

A Championship: 4 years - 8 first teams - 0 financially ruined.
First Division 2014: 7 first teams and a B team.
Opportunity lost for new clubs to join GLITW.
Going by the Limerick website, it'll be good news tomorrow.
If there is a redraft, I hope Limerick keep the Waterford and Shel's fixtures for April. They'll be the first two decent games to go to.

Limerick FC and the Football Association of Ireland have resolved all their differences. They look forward to working together in future for the benefit of the Irish football family.
Both parties wish to acknowledge the important contribution of Mr Paul Sreenan SC in his role as mediator in bringing about this successful resolution. Both parties will make no further public comment on the matter.
Pat O’Sullivan – Chairman Limerick FC Paddy Mc Caul – President, Football Association of Ireland
So...have Limerick backed down?
Life without Rovers, it makes no sense...it's a heartache...nothing but a fools game. S.R.F.C.
so.....have the FAI paid up?
i would love to know what that settlement consists of.
I like high energy football. A little bit rock and roll. Many finishes instead of waiting for the perfect one.
