is any word yet on what is going to happen to the team that finishes bottom of the first division and is there any plans to increase the first division again?
The relegation play-off this year is going to be over 2 legs.
First Div team at home first.

Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?
It says in the A championship thread that all non reserve sides (ie cobh, Tralee, Carlow, fanad) have been invited to apply for entry into next seasons first division. By the sounds of that there will be no play-off. Anyway I'm not sure any non league teams can finish high enough anyway (open to correction) to get a play-off as I thought it was top two they had to get into this season.

There are 11 teams in Division One, so presumably at least one of the A Championship sides will come up.
The fact that all of this wasn't decided and announced about a year ago is such a farce.
Probably only one club will join from the A Championship though can't see why it could not be 3. A Championship clubs don't seem to have heard of a certain thing as lobbying.

A Championship: 4 years - 8 first teams - 0 financially ruined. First Division '14: 7 first teams.
Opportunity lost for new clubs/regions to join the LoI family.
