"Billy Corgan, Smashing Pumpkins."
"Homer Simpson, smiling politely."
One in the eye for all the scum criticising them on this forum.
They're doing a difficult job in difficult circumstances, they just needed some extra time.
How dare they. It's a thundering disgrace. I don't know why yet but it's bound to be.

Good post from a few weeks ago. This good will you speak of doesn't seem to extend to the A Championship though. Good points were made by Galway fans on how people outside the club did not seem to appreciate the importance of the club and on how much it means to some people.
There's a similar situation with A Championship clubs. The uncertainty on the future of the competition is not good for the clubs involved. Castlebar and Tullamore cited it as a reason for opting out this year. If the LoI fraternity want the game and league to develop in this country, a pathway on the field of play is needed for joining the league.
I know pressure has come from some Premier clubs to end the A Championship. Surely this stipulation of having to field a side can be removed. Galway did not enjoy the uncertainty over their position in the league. Similary as I say, it's not good for the A Championship. If the league is to develop, the FAI need to give a firm commitment and a stable league for clubs to join with aspirations of joining the LoI.

A Championship: 4 years - 8 first teams - 0 financially ruined. First Division '14: 7 first teams.
Opportunity lost for new clubs/regions to join the LoI family.
Licensing is a joke. The Galway clubs have great training facilities though...
