Ya i know he moved from MK whats your point? He is still in the lower leagues of England and unless Brum go up, which I don't see happening this year he will be still in the lower leagues come next year.

    Premier League.

    Dv 1/2/3 = lower leagues.

You said Gleeson hasn't got a chance anywhere higher when clearly he just has. Fact is players have to work their way up the leagues unless they have outrageous talent, so calling the lower leagues a black hole is a misnomer as the only players who get sucked in are those who've found their level.

That could be true, but I was saying all these young prospects that are maybe capable of playing in the Premier League are dwindling in Champsionship and league 1 and 2..

To counter your point hoolahan spent all his time down there but was well able play in premiership, so i wouldnt say they found their level necessary, its more that managers in pl as i said earlier go with the tried and trusted.

Found their level as in it's more or less where they should be at that stage in their careers. All credit to Wes and he did take to the Premier League well but the reason it took him so long to get there is because he was never setting the lower leagues ablaze with his performances.

Shaun Williams went to Millwall in January. Gleeson to Brum. Judge, Douglas and McCormack are coming up to Championship with Brentford. Lee Frecklington is coming up with Rotherham and has garnered interest from other Championship clubs, apparently. As regards Wolves, well that is clearly a strange one.

I think with Wes, he's comfortable at almost any level because of his style of play. He did have that season in League One where he managed to bag plenty of goals and that was, in a way, his breakthrough but Lambert seemed to find that Hoolahan was more than capable of translating his ability to find and create space and use incisive passing at any level, regardless of who he was opposing.

A move was inevitable when he wasn't given a squad number at Villa.

I hope he does well at Milton Keynes.

Looks like Carruthers will be playing Championship football next season, barring an unlikely outcome over the next few minutes.

Darren Potter amongst the scorers for MK Dons this afternoon.

Samir Carruthers was told he’d be given the chance to succeed Dele Alli in central midfielder and his performances in the later stages of the last campaign would suggest he’s more than capable of doing so, while Darren Potter should be partnering him.

Seemingly going a little under the radar so far this season, Carruthers appears to have settled into Championship football pretty well so far, starting all three of MK Dons' games this season, setting up the winning goal tonight as well as having a shot saved.

Is he playing as a centre mid or winger? I see Diego Poyet has signed on loan for them from West Ham and he's a centre mid.

He's playing left of a 3 in midfield.

Thought it worth noting that Carruthers got his first Championship goal yesterday in the defeat to Blackburn Rovers. He has established himself in the MK Dons midfield with 34 appearances this season, although with 10 yellows and one red, he might want to work on his discipline

Er...Call him up Trap? Seriously, though, this is frustrating (as well as totally gross) - he gets released by Aston Villa but starts to build a reasonably decent career at MK Dons, with the result that he could be brought into the Senior international squad in the not-too-distant future...and then he does this. I hope he knuckles down and realises that he could yet be a reasonably talented player with a fine career rather than being a reasonably talented player who knocks around the lower leagues, because he'd rather indulge in regular drunken horseplay (sorry, couldn't resist). Interestingly, one of his partners-in-crime at Cheltenham was former U-21 international James Collins, who seems to be fully committed to bouncing around Leagues One and Two.

I suppose he could claim it was a scheduled urine test for performance enhancing drugs?
