Usual tentative hopes of being in Europe only to be shown up as ridiculous at some later stage have arisen. Ireland are fourth in the UEFA Fair Play thingy - pdf link - with the top three countries getting an extra UEFA Cup spot (the draw for teams whose countries score more than 8 points is gone).
We had five reds last year - Greg x 3, Shorty in Tallaght and Robbie Creevy against Drogheda - which is pretty much a record as far as I remember, so that won't help. Against that, we played some of the best attacking football I've ever seen us play, which will gain marks.
On the Pat's forum that we won this, so we get into Europe if Ireland can jump one more place in the rankings.
