without going into details( otherwise I would be breaking data protection) I have being involved with the trust a year or so. they have made some significant progress in clearing off the historic debt of the club.. roughly two thirds of the creditors have being settled.. the trust have no day to day involvement with the club and contains individuals who have no ties with the club whatsover. the only reason I am involved is that I am the supporters club representative( supervisory role). once the debt is tackled the next step would be towards capital project financing. the chairman of the trust for instance is a respected public representative.
Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?

Also someone asked about us at Tolka, We're there for the forseeable- Unless someone else from the club can confirm?
Odd question, but what's the foreseeable future? I'd thought it was 1 or 2 more years?

Could it be that the payment of players to end November is significant in that it complies with licensing requirements cut-off (i.e. footballing debts incurred after 30 Nov not relevent for 2012 licensing)? Payment made following negotiations with PFAI, obviously suited both parties

Has there been any clarification from Bohs as to whether a license has been applied for or not? Yes, Preliminary application was lodged (this was stated by the club publicly before Christmas)

Suerly there could well be a myriad of reasons why license may not be granted - SCP, late/no license application, lack of sustainability of 2012 club budget, perceived inability to meet 2012 commitments, absense of tax clearance certification etc etc
same rules/regulations that apply to all applicants, my point is that to the best of my knowledge we have no concerns apart from the monies owed to players and I have not heard anyone suggest otherwise.

Just on Sporting Fingal's "nothing to see here" troubles, does anybody know how much rent they'll be paying for Dalymount and if they were paying any at Morton Stadium.

Also, is Dalymount within Fingal Co Co or Dublin City Council?

I demand (on behalf of the tax payers in the County of ancient Fingal) they change their name to Sporting Finglas.

Sporting Finglas, or Sporting Dublin City Council Administrative Area (Supported by Fingal County Council) FC/SDCCAA(SBFCC) FC. Cheers.

Seemingly we haven't been officially confirmed as playing in Tolka! Now I thought that that was a foregone conclusion since last years scare, but apparently not.

On the plus side we're mentioned in a new McDonalds ad.

Thanks Bonnieshels, I think it's probably a formality, I was just wondering what was happening with the lease. Pretty soon it could be BohSpoFinShe FC playing out of Dalymount :-)
