Does this mean that Derry and co can take a running fúck up themselves now, or will they still just be little bitches all their miserable lives?

    A licence

I can't see my club Waterford Utd getting an A licence as there was a list of things needing to be done to the ground to improve it last season and nothings been done.We don't own the ground either so apparently can't get grants to do it up.They were talking about developing a new ground but alls gone quiet on that front. The A license shouldn't be used as a stick to beat other teams with which is why Derry's stance is unpopular.

    From www.fai.ie.....

Following a meeting of the FAI Licencing Appeals Body this morning, UEFA ‘A’ Licences have been awarded to Shelbourne, Cork City and Bohemians to participate in UEFA competitions this year.

Longford Town have also been awarded a Licence to play in Europe at an alternative licenced ground.

FAI Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Fran Rooney, congratulated the clubs concerned and said that the decision was extremely important for the future development of the game in Ireland. "I now look forward to more clubs achieving the ‘A’ Licence standard in the coming months and we will continue to work with the clubs in this regard’ Mr. Rooney said.
Good news than, all the Euro clubs are sorted.

Congrats to all the clubs. From our point of view,we can nominate Tolka and lansdowne. If we can get the extra no of seats covered and have a control room and medical room ,then we have a great chance of getting it but with a reduced capacity at flancare.

But great news for the European clubs involved.
Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?

We've got until June 30 to get asd much work done on Flancare as we can, hopefully we can get it up to 3,500 or 4,000 which realistically should be enough to cater for who'll come out..Fair play to the club for how far theyve come so far and with a bit of luck we'll have a good capacity licenced ground in the next few weeks, as I said in earlier posts not an awful lot to do to get an A Licence on the ground but we want it Licenced for as many as possible, realistically it'll be tight but with a bit of luck a decent crowd will be able to watch Longford Town in the UEFA Cup at Flancare.

    From another el forum

Speculation that UEFA may investigate the awarding the licences to the EL clubs. It is also alleged that the Appeals Body co-opted a member in a manner not in accordance with the rules (I wonder what Ollie has to say about that. Will he object). If a club is found to have been awarded a licence incorrectly then it faces European ban
I wonder is there any truth in it?

Get rid of those cavity blocks in the opposite end to the carpark, and that end of the ground is very unsafe I tell you..

Did not feel safe standing there this evening.

Other than that, a lovely little ground.
