I think it'll take a wee bit more than that, I'm afraid. 'S'funny how some people hereabouts who belittle those who would boo/slag off RMK are only too quick to themselves dig into Mister Holland. Ah well.

As much as I don't rate Matt Holland, think he is nothing more than a water carrier, and is anonymous in the majority of matches he plays, I certainly wouldn't boo him for any of these reasons.

Not going into the RK booing issues, other booing issues again. But once again, people are not reading and understanding points being made in threads properly.

(this is my views and you may not wish to agree its ok with me)

Mr Holland does not want to see Roy Keane playing magificantly for Ireland again, i know that he was shouting on the roof in Japan about the complaints of Mr Keane and was a "die hard " Mc Carthy "martyer" who wished only for the beer " I am a looser who drunks" culture to continue...

ANd besides we all know what a National Diaster MR Holland is on the football pitch... who on this boards wants to see Holland drag out his negative play in the centre of the pitch from now until 2006 ? He belongs in the division 1 with His idol Mc Carthy "the grafter"

Yet instead he's an established first teamer with a team in the top half of the Premiership unlike the 'fine' alternatives we have like Graham Kavanagh and Colin Healy. Yes, clearly you are talking nothing but copious amounts of good sense!
The ball is round and has many surprises.

Mate, say what you like, but when he scored that belter against Cameroon in the World Cup, I was the one running around like a headless chicken. He's given us plenty to be grateful for, so let's at least say thanks with grace and then leave it there.

The cracker at the stadium of light. (I was the only person in the jacks in the stadium when he scored. Three and a half years later and I'm still gutted I missed it.)

I remember when He hit the ball and some how it went into the goal:S... he ran around like a crazy chicken (also ) afterwards. he did not intended to score.

The camera showed him with the complete look of surprise, because he could not belive such a strange thing could happen with himi with those feet.

Bye Bye Holland, when we were stuck you filled a hole, but now we have no need for you and your negative blind vision. Im sure everyone will (slow) clap when you leave the dressing room for the final time

Well at least Matt is doing his part to facilitate the return of Roy, anyway you look at it Matt is going to be in the current squad longer than Roy Keane so he will get to wave goodbye a second time

If Kavanagh is so good why has he spent the best years of his career in Div 2?

Jesus some people are so ungrateful . All the matty has done for us and now put him on the scrapheap ! who also in our team is playing regularly in the centre mid in the premiership ? nobody except great aul roy when he is not injured ????

Matty is still a valuable member of our squad and is in far better shape to play against switz and france than the likes of miller !

Bout to say that meself...phew what a humdinger

Holland is captain of a top 6 team...that's the type of standard we need our players to be playing at.
    <insert witty remark>

I no Miller will be a great player for Ireland, remember that he will be playing in the top 3 team of the table. And Roy Keane is returned. With Duff and Reid, I think it looks like a great arrangement.

I don't think Holland is by any means the finest player ever to have worn an Irish shirt but he isn't as bad as some people are making him out to be. He's played consistantly well for Charlton this season. I can't remember him ever having a truly awful game for Ireland - which games are you thinking of?

Yes I don't think we should to to quick to slag of Irish players, I for one
do not recall him making any 'howlers' so lets be fair to him, and I do
remember him scoring a vital goal from 30 yards?

Its not good for team spirit to be constantly snipeing at players.
He's playing for a 'top' club like Charlton so lets count our blessings.

well keane is by far not the player he was either. Holland has been one of the best players for charlton this year and was voted 2nd in player of the season from the charlton fans. He is a very important member of the squad and will be valuable against sides like france and switzerland where experience is the key as we saw in basel !
