Wouldn't be backing us till we see the CBs as you say. The re-signing of Miller would be a big positive if it happens. Foster is definitely talking down our chances anyway.
    Better mid-table than bust.

I'd see Dundalk's main challengers for at least a top 3 finish coming from Pat's and maybe Derry but hard to say when I haven't seen Derry play.

I agree !!! Especially as we currently only have Simon Madden & the totally inexperienced Nathan Murphy as defenders, I think I`ll wait to see who he brings in as the two central defenders and a left full to judge how strong we are. The defence last year was really poor overall, and we were most weak in the middle, so hopefully we`ll have better quality for 2011 there.

#DundalkFC - First Irish club to win an away game in Europe (1963), only Irish club to win a game / points in Europa League Group Stage (2016).

Rovers' are quite rightly favourites but I don't accept they are going to have it all their own way. Boh's obviously are going to fall away and might not be in the same division. Sligo should be in a strong enough position to challenge as should Dundalk. It's hard to look beyond these three. Derry and Pat's are likely be top half.

Bohs too short odds and Derry too long odds are standout features for me. Unless there is no relegaton bray cannot finish last

We need about 6 good signings to justify our price at the moment.
Manager: Fergal, have you your boots with ya?
Fergal: Ya, I have them here.
Manager: Ah good stuff, well give them to this man so, he forgot his!

seriously, i said it earlier, the value there is still Dundalk. Get a bit on at 14's or 16's.
I like high energy football. A little bit rock and roll. Many finishes instead of waiting for the perfect one.

Think the price for sporting fingal is a tempter, personally.
Rovers need a centre back and a keeper of some description and then we should go course and distance.
Shamrock Rovers- Where trophies are won and envy is scarce

The BOR are too short on signings so far and I am not convinced by Shams at levels, I will try and lay the pair and have the rest running for me at 5/2 or better, I expect things not to settle for a little bit and maybe look to trade out with a profit after a few games and keep a little piece of liquidity in the exchange markets for the season for the sake of interest.

    Whats the story with Mannus?

Derry e/w has got to be the best bet there although Rovers at evens is good odds IMO free money, Bray to be the surprise package this year, might finish 5th
    Here on a technicality.

Dundalk now down to 11/4 from 10/1 after the Belfast demolition job, and probably those new players joining last week.

Each way bet at 10/1 was good value last week (after Hawkins, Bolger, Maher news), but 11/4 is hardly any value at all.

Hoops & Sligo well ahead of us in squad terms, Pats have a bigger budget ( and probably more signings to make), and Bohs (despite their €250!!!! budget) will be competitive along with Derry.

Doubt Pats will have a bigger budget (and not getting into one of those arguments either)

Really hope I'm wrong though as we need strikers.

The hawkins/maher signings huge for Dundalk
