Question Time for Hartigol critics to shut up?

The guy everyone loves to hate has got 3 goals in 3 games? Surely there's no point in knocking the guys confidence now? You can't argue when a striker's scoring goals, so lay off the guy.

By my calculations its 4 goals in 3 games. Fair bells to him, long may it continue.

Even the dodgiest players have good spells. Just cause he's scored a few against Cobh and Dundalk doesn't automatically make him good enough suddenly...

    Hmm ..

Didn't he score against Longford as well ?

Hartigan had a pretty decent game yesterday, an awful lot of Dundalk fans who had never seen him play commented on that ..

Seems like some of you who weren't there can't bear to admit you were wrong

    Now now James

If we had a decent manager THAT DIDN'T TAKE OUR BEST PLAYER OFF FOR A DEFENSIVE MIDFIELDER WHEN WE WERE 1-0 DOWN [pardon] , and someone with composure in front of goal we would have hammered yer lot ..

Look at what Emmet Malone says in todays Irish Times ..

"On Sunday, there were certainly enough chances created during the first half for Dundalk to have had the game more or less wrapped up before the break. But the finishing was awful and so, as they were obliged to press forward in search of at least a point, City needed only to exploit the gaps in an increasingly overstretched defence to turn their first-half one-goal lead into an insurmountable three-goal one"

    Red face Dundalk

I though there was gonna be a mini riot when he took Prizeman off as it ddn't seem to be a popular decision.

City were poor defemsively in the first half but i think Dundalk played so bad we got dragged down a level or two. I think only Prizemans shot off the crossbar (sightlines from stand evrey poor) was a good opportunity as Mooney didn't have a save to make. Any team can try wild shots from outside the box & say they were chances. Even Horgan & Carey didn't play too well.

I think sunday was payback for the 1-0 defeat at the cross were a poor performance by city was compounded by pushing for the win & losing the draw.

Sunday showed when Ollie C has a good surface under him he is a constant threat.

    Emmet Malone is a spoon!
He had no interest in being up at Oriel watching a poor game.
I'd bet he was listening to the second half of the Chelsea game on the radio or something and looked up if he heard any change in crowd noise in Dundalk.
He hasn't a clue and isn't worth reading not to mention quoting!

Gary Doyle, Mick Scully or Aidan Fitzmaurice may be used for quotes.

    What about ?

What about Martin Reillys miss from four yards, when Keddy passed with the goal gaping ..

Or what about when Mooney dropped the Reilly shot at the feet of keddy with perhaps the worst goalkeeping error ever !!

Did you go in early for the halftime pint ?! This happened in the closing stages of the first half

I wasn't even in the country not to mention being at the game.
Just wanted to have a dig at Malone

Soccercentral.ie said: "The Leesiders made light work of their struggling Dundalk opponents - and now Martin Murray's Lilywhites are staring relegation squarely in the face after their recent poor run".

    Oops ...

Sorry peadar, my message was directed towards pete ..

In truth, I'm not sure if I agree we could have had the game wrapped up by half time, but we should definitely have been at least level ..

However in the second half we were DIRE, absolutely bloody awful, and any team would have beaten us. It wasn't Cork brilliance that done it anyway !

    Not sure

Prizemans shot was hit at some pace & Mooney was stranded but could see properly as seemed to blocked by side of stand wherever I sat.
I'll admit Keddy had a great chance to shoot from the edge of the box but he didn't so you can't say that was chance. Dundalk had possibilities of chances in the 1st half but its not often you score from 30 yards.

No offense but Dundalks play in the 2nd half was as bad as i've seen this season & ye did look like a team on a bad run. Based on what I saw at the cross earlier in the season when city played as bad as have all season i still with my relegation prediction...
