On the radio too. I've always wondered, when there are so many pieces in the media about drugs, and seemingly "soft" drugs are now not so frowned upon, why more athletes in Ireland aren't failing tests for cannabis etc, same for the sky leagues? I know that statistically it's almost impossible to be tested in the sky premier league, though still, more than just 1 or 2 reserve players must have been up to something.

Disappointing to hear about Chris Kenny. Only a young lad (21 ?) and always gave 100% as an aggressive defender/ midfielder either starting or as a sub. without being particularly creative. Always feel they should be provided with assistance or counselling rather than being banned in such cases.

As far as the Youths generally are concerned, I don't think they are back training yet so little information available. Gary Sheahan will be a big loss, of course. Rumours of a few new signings but would expect next year's squad to be the usual locally based players.

Youths u-18s beat Coill Dubh on penalties (2-2 after 90) in Leinster Youth Cup last week.

Yep, he wasn't quite first choice but he's made plenty of starts over the last two seasons. Soccerway says he made 25 appearances last year, probably about right.

The team are returning to training in the next few weeks, there's been no confirmed new signings yet but supporters are expecting something soon! Very hush hush I reckon, like most things in the Youths!

Indeed. But one could easily make a hash of it.

Does this mean they'll be changing their name to Wexford Moody Teenagers now?

Yeah. I was afraid it would be let slip and we'd end up making a meth of it.
