Been playing left full recently for Wolves: http://www.wolves.co.uk/news/article...d-2985741.aspx
Yeah I saw that game on Saturday and he was very impressive. It's definitely something for Martin O'Neill to take note of.
His disallowed goal and cross for the winning goal are here-
He seems keen as well...

Also won goal of the season for this
24 is a mad age to be receiving a young player award. Not sure what the keeper was doing for that goal either, unless it deflected.
A bit more about his Ireland expectations here-

sorry, I got that backwards, it was the "Young Wolves" Player of the season, from the fans: https://twitter.com/Young_Wolves/sta...29765355327488
Nice relaxing night on their seats for the rest of the Wolves squad as Matt Doherty was called up to the podium three times for a clean sweep at their awards. Fans' player of the year, players' player of the year and goal of the year. Not a bad season by anyone's standards.

I can't understand why he didn't get game time in our 'problem position' in the friendlies.
He was on telly recently. Looks a very mature and confident player these days. Might he be in tomorrow's squad?
He and Cunningham are likely to play some part in the WC18 campaign I think it's fair to say.
Hard to tell how good Championship players are though. Ward is a very good Championship left back.
I think Enda Stevens won Pompey's POTY too.
Whatever about the urgency of the striker situation, it's quite bizarre to be headhunting eligible full backs for the national team when Cunningham & Doherty can't get into squads. Is Christie that much better than them?
Sure Doherty's mother is Dutch. What's to stop Holland from calling him up with how average their depth pool is?
He certainly has done enough to be given a chance in the upcoming friendlies.
Goal for Dots today, Wolves first. From a corner. Then Joe Mason grabbed the second and continues his decent start to the season.
I like high energy football. A little bit rock and roll. Many finishes instead of waiting for the perfect one.
Scored to bring Wolves back into the game against Fulham and they've since equalised. 3-3.
Goal Doherty.
Third of the season.
Doherty and Pilkington's goals @ start and end of video.
Great finish by Doherty for the first goal but he didn't cover himself in glory for Cardiff's winner.
Another goal to give Wolves a 2-0 lead at Stoke.
