He's really unlucky in that his great form at Wolves is coinciding with Ward's renaissance in the Premier League. Not to mention Coleman's existence. And Brady's versatility.

I do think, however, there's potentially merit in having Doherty in ahead of Christie. Christie has been decent at times but was liable against Belarus in Turner's Cross. Doherty will surely get his shot in upcoming friendlies.

Has just gone in goal for Wolves but couldn't stop a Robbie Brady penalty.

He had won the penalty from which Wolves equalised earlier. Their keeper was sent off after allegedly bringing Wes Hoolahan down in the box and proceeding to rough him up along with some of his teammates because they felt Wessi had dived. I think they may have had a point as well on first viewing. Doherty was booked just before the penalty was taken also, I'm not sure what he did exactly.

His fifth of the season to celebrate his call up, and spark an unlikely three points, from behind on 86. Decent return for mid March for a FB - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/39188492

I think Matt can feel a bit hard done by not to make the final squad.

I think he could potentially offer a lot more than Christie.

Doherty will surely be called up for the Iceland game?

Either way, I think Hourihane has a decent chance of starting, given the unfortunate circumstances regarding our Everton players.

One thing I think we can gather from tonight's game is that Cyrus Christie is not the short term answer at right-back. He struggled in his cameo appearance

I would think so, I guess if there is anying positive in Coleman's injury it is it gives Matt an opportunity.

I'd worry about Christie when we are not on the front foot like we were tonight alright.

I wasn't greatly impressed with his productivity from his forward forays.

I think bringing on Hourihane and playing ball through the middle of the park would have bore more fruit.

I imagine Christie Will be a definite starter against Iceland in order to engineer match practice for the months ahead, but we need reinforcements now.

We are short in certain areas and need some new ideas.

You have to question what the point is of naming squads with 39 players in them and naming players on stand-by when you don't call in reinforcements when you're down to two full backs and three strikers (one of whom he clearly has no intention of using in a competitive situation).

The weird thing is he had four goalkeepers called up for one friendly not long ago.

We are unfortunately looking at a situation where Coleman won't be available for a minimum of 6 games.

It's extremely odd not calling up Doherty and/or Cunningham.

Even if he plans on using Meyler as a deputy right back.

We all thought Christie did well and actually played better than Coleman on the night

He blows hot and cold at Derby and can be suspect defensively but I'm really not sure what more people expected from him last night. He endeavored to force the issue down the right when we were in the ascendancy and helped to kept Wales under pressure late on, winning a couple of corners and that. Hardly the easiest of circumstances to come into, replacing a fella with his leg hanging off with the clock ticking down. At the very minimum he did just fine.

He gave away the ball at least five times that I counted of.

He didn't play any worse than Coleman did, I agree on that, but Coleman had little to no protection on his flank for a good 20 minutes before that hole was plugged.

To be fair, you can't really compare his performance to Coleman as it was 11 v 10. He did look a lot more threatening in attack but, then again, he was attacking the sub full back!

    Is he injured?

We are really short on full backs, huh?

Could play Keogh, O'Shea and Duffy with McClean and Brady as wing backs, in the Uruguay game if not the qualifier.
