Just wondering why you'd be going to Malmo via Coppenhagen and then a ferry to Malmo.

You obviously haven't heard of the bridge between Denmark and Sweden?
It's quicker to fly to Copenhagen and get the train to Malmo than it is to fly to Malmo and get from there into the town.

Jeez, I lived in Sweden for 8 years and obviously knew about the bridge but wasn't aware that there was a train available from Denmark to Malmo

From the airport you can get trains to all sorts of wonderful places.
