Tickets for the setanta cup final will be going on sale to shamrock rovers fans tomorrow.Members and season ticket holders will be sold tickets first. Approx 3,000 tkts are available and is expected to sell out. Rovers have the east stand and Dundalk have the west stand (main stand). West stand holds slightly more than East stand.

Keith Ward says that Dundalk’s young squad have “no fear” of Shamrock Rovers or Tallaght Stadium as they prepare for Saturday’s Setanta Sports Cup final. Ward is one of 12 players in Ian Foster’s 19-man squad that are 23 or under, and he admits that he is “buzzing” for his first ever cup final, stating that “that’s why I wanted to come here”.

Ten weeks on and the 18-year-old is riding high after a number of impressive performances, with the young defender being rewarded with the club’s April Player of the Month award, while he added his first two goals for the Lilywhites in last week’s win in Galway. But there is some unfinished business for Hector, who is looking to “bury the demons” of Tallaght in the most spectacular fashion, by claiming his first senior medal.

Greg Bolger would not rather be anywhere else on Saturday evening, with the young midfielder stating “this is what you play football for”, before he declared that the Lilywhites are only “in second gear”. The 22-year-old has had a troublesome start to the year, with the demise of Sporting Fingal just three weeks before the start of the Premier Division season. Ian Foster acquired his services within 24 hours, but after a bright start he suffered a grade two strain to his thigh muscle in late March which ruled him out for almost six weeks, during which time the Lilywhites played ten games.

Not sure what your plans are for the pub beforehand, but the cops can be particular in some games (Bohs, Pats etc) and insist in only Rovers fans in the Maldron. Now none of you might want to go there anyway to make that situation immaterial, but if you're making the day of it it might be better to go somewhere not as close to the ground to enable youse to relax proper with a few bevvies.

There has been quite a bit of discussion on our forum about pre-match refreshment and the Maldron and a couple of others were ruled out as being Rovers places.

Just on this, Pats fans never have any problems getting in the Maldron before games in Tallaght, I usually have a few pints in there before the games (even tho they are **** poor)

Theres 4-5 buses i know of heading Aherns pub for the FA cup. Leaving town at 1.
