Crusaders website say they dn't know who they're playing in quarters as it will depend on what Northern teams are left...
Nice and simple
From the club's facebook:
Sligo Rovers Have been drawn to face either Linfield or Dundalk in the quarter-finals of the Setanta Sports Cup. The first leg will be in the Showgrounds on March 7th with the away leg on March 14th.
Life without Rovers, it makes no sense...it's a heartache...nothing but a fools game. S.R.F.C.

The BBC is the first website I came across at a glance with news on the Cup draw:
Setanta Sports Cup first round
Linfield v Dundalk
Bohemians v Portadown
Cliftonville v St Patrick's Athletic
Sporting Fingal v Lisburn Distillery

Looking forward to welcoming Linfield to Dundalk. I only hope some clowns of our support treat their supporters with the respect they deserve.
Would have no probs with heading to windsor as numerois irish clubs have gone their in this comp without incident.
Happy we got Linfield because we are going to have to put the events of 79 behind us. Since then Dundalk and linfield have done the dunfield youth project and some previous dundalk side have since travelled to windsor and those games have passed off without incident.
I just hope every nut within 25 mile radius of dundalk looking for trouble stays away.
Long Live King Kenny
As I understand it both websites are correct - in that the draw for the quarter finals is variable depending on who wins the First Round ties.
From Dundalk's perspective is definately Glentoran in the event of progressing.
If Linfield win out they play Sligo.
Who Sligo play if Dundalk win....thats beyond me!
Not correct!
Sounds about right!
First time we have gotten a Dublin team so its a good draw for that reason, there should be a good crowd of Reds making the trip down the M1 down for this. Will be good craic I hope.
Delighted with the Draw, As Dodge said its a new ground to visit and wont have all the poxy security stuff we have to go through when we played Linfield, Apparently some Rovers fans are going to our home game to support the 'real Reds'
Here on a technicality.
They're not popular with all their support though. There's a Pats fan who's a regular at Solitude. According to him most Cliftonville fan either dn't care about Rovers, or don't like them
As ever, fans from Belfast will be made welcome by us amd I'd be confident Pats fans would be made welcome in Belfast

Pats fans will I'm sure be made welcome I know the Cork boys that were up enjoyed themselves anyway.
Theres been a connection dating back to the 70s I think but yeah a lot don't really care and some want nothing to do with Rovers, Theres a thread about this at the moment on the Cliftonville ILS forum wasn't at the match on friday night against Linfield but apparently there was some Rovers men up and a couple who were off their heads were acting up. I'm sure they are not representative of all Rovers fans though and I'm not having a go like every team has undesireable elements in its support!
I believe Cliftonville played Pats in a friendly a few years ago was there much of a crowd down for that then?
I don't understand the seeding system for this year's competition. I read on Derry City Chat that the League of Ireland teams to be seeded were Shamrock Rovers and Sligo Rovers yet Bohemians, last year's Setanta Cup winners are not. I recognize that the League and Cup winners from both sides of the border have been afforded the seed rankings but surely it would make more sense to give the Bohs the seeding.
Delighted with that draw! Dundalk/Linfield had to happen! Cant wait for it

If Bohs are seeded then one of the League and Cup winning sides on some side of the border is not. Which one? I agree with Dodge. Keep it simple.I don't understand the seeding system for this year's competition.
