Seriously, it backs up my feelings that those who support premeiership teams and celtic of Glasgow have no interest in football. these are the same people then who are trying to compare LOI football with the english conference.

It's certainly the case (minus the few exceptions on a pro rata basis similar to Britain) that 'if it ain't British we won't support the club.' Even leaving aside the Given and O'Brien interest, had Newcastle United knocked out Marseilles, I'd no doubt that the game would have been on TV.
