But there are other aspects of FG policies which I would have to say I am 100% behind, ie. political reform, health service reform and transportation reform.
I don't agree with some comments emanating from the party about certain assets being sold off. That's lunacy and I'm sure that that won't get near a manifesto with Labour in coalition with them.
But still... I can't think of anything at all at all ever why any citizen of this state should be contemplating voting for FF. the cabbage is at the ready.

My friend is saying she'll vote for them because they made the mess, and we should make them fix it. While that might work for discouraging children from spilling the paint, I don't think giving crooked politicians a job for life is going to teach them a lesson, much less fix the country.

What did Ron Burgundy say about women's brains?!

I've avoided finding out in case I'm tempted to drive a heavy construction vehicle into their place of work!

I'm tired of of watching partisan party politicians tear strips out of each other while the token non-politician on the panel offers the only substantive analysis. Like many of those who have lead us deeper into this disaster Rabitte is a career politician. I'd rather have some rationed input from the likes of David McWilliams, Morgan Kelly or Ray Kinsella than that. If a bit of righteous indignation is enough to attract our votes then no wonder we keep returning a bunch of gombeens. We need a different quality and type of individual to govern this country entirely than those who occupy the Dail on all sides.

In fairness Rabbitte generally tries to remain calm enough but it looks like he simply snapped at Carey's avoidacbe tactics on Thursday night. "You can't reason with an unreasonable man...."

You only have to look at or listen to Carey to get that angry. He's a gormless d*ckhead.

And last night's poll proves your point:

    Fianna Fáil 17% (-1)

can see where you are coming from which is why i posted that it looked genuine on Rabbittes part. nothing worse than feigned indignation from the opposition who seem to have only decided in the last couple of weeks they want to be in government. however if you look at the clip it seems he just snaps.

Indeed. Bear in mind the rules re polls and FF. Reality is always higher than polls as people consider voting for FF to be wrong and won't admit it to someone such as a pollster.

God bless Brian Ó Domhnaill still can't help lying.
BÓD: We won't need the bail out!
Voter: Are you sure of that?
    BÓD: Absolutely.

To RTÉ... "We simply can't allow that to happen otherwise the clouds of darkness would come down on this country".

To the 19% of people in Donegal SW that think he's their man... catch yerselves on!

Could be worse. The week of the last election, some biddy texted into a national radio talk show, that FF were in government practically all her life, so didn't see the need for change.

That's pretty awful. I still think the notion of wanting to keep FF in power to clean up the mess is pretty abysmal.

Some quality lines in yesterday's Business Post from doorstep canvassing in South Donegal.

"You've got 4 FF votes in this house as Mary Coughlan got my mother a hospital bed".

Do Paddy Power offer odds on voting share at the next election? I'd bet a score FF get 26-28% (alot more than the 17% in yesterdays poll) Back to the rainbows of the earlys 90s I fear.

Lenihan was on the Radio this morn saying it was unfortunate but in times of serious financial discussions it was important not to declare anything about those discussions publically. (wow theres news!) This is exactly what Lucy was saying last week when he said he was not surprised B L was dening IMF involvement but at the same time expected an announcment mid week.
So why are the media pushing this issue? Unfair on this particular issue, should be flogged for the other stuff though!

Noonan sounded very plausable and reasoned this morning on the same radio show btw. He explained the buget voting proceedure i.e when voting might be required and basicaly only becomes a voting issue when a tax is changed. i.e a Dole or Pension cut won't be voted upon.
Therefore no elction till April or may I think, depite threats by FF back benchers.

As a country we need to form a government without the Healy raes and Lowrys holding the governments ball bag.

couldnt get the post yesterday and the choice in the newsagents was between the news of the world, the irish daily mail, and the sindo. went with the last, read about two paragraphs of willie o'dea in the main article on the front page, and threw the whole thing away in disgust. should have went with the news of the world, at least there might have been something decent to look at.
i believe in one man, one vote. i should be that one man with that one vote.

    ALWAYS ON TOUR!
